He is working on that.Wesley starts every game,so DS has our attack sorted.He is working on the midfield and defence.

It MUST be some sort of record.19 games and 4 goals,and still starting every match. He might even reach double figures by May at this rate.You have to admire DS for giving him a chance ?!

What about Kodja or the tea lady ?

For me, its mostly frustration.Villa have been ( and still are ) my team and have been my team for over 60 years and I want them to do well.I want them to win everything.To me Villa are the best there is, so I get frustrated and P...ed off when we dont do well.As far as I am concerned ( I am not a football tactician/analysist ) I think we have one of the best midfields in the division,IMHo our defence is at least average and our attack is non-existant,and we dont vary our tactics/formation.So I get angry and frustrated when we dont get any points at all and vent/show my feelings here.Punching a wall or kicking a large rock hurts. Bottom line is.I want MY team to do well, and when they dont then I get really p...ed off............ Sorry,but I cant help feeling like that.

I must admit,I didnt check,I thought that as we are in the semi we must have scored a few goals.Tell you what I did check though.I see that Wesley has scored 4 goals in 19 starts ( 2 of them were in one game,Norwich) At this rate he might score another 4 between now and the end of the season. Answer me one simple question.Why does DS keep starting him when he has only scored in 3 games out of 19 ?

Tell you what.With the game time Kodja has been getting,I wouldent be suprised if he asked to go which means we will have to sign 2 strikers in January.

I dont rate Kodja very high either but he has probably scored more goals in the league cup games than Wes has all season.Not only that but how many more games do you think Wes should get before we start using him off the bench?

I agree 100%.The only problem is that DS refuses to start him.Makes you wonder if our NEW striker is going to replace Wesley on the field or Kodja on the bench.TBH I wouldent be suprised if we get a striker and Wesley still starts every game.

Yes I do.But that does not explain why he starts every game.I have never ever ever ever heard of a striker starting so many games for so little result and continuing to be the first choice.FFS, peolle are not fussed on Kodija but the way WEsley playes we would probably be better off with a striker that was in a wheele chair.When Wesley plays we are effectivly playing with 10 men.

People on this forum are all talking about how bad the team was or how bad certain players were and questioning the formation etc etc etc.In fact posters on here are questioning everything except the one thing that I would like the answer to. How come Wesley has started every single game so far and continues to do so ?????? When we get a new striker, will he replace Wesley on the pitch,OR Kodija on the bench ? FFS DS, at least try to get it right

Good thinking.Lets keep him as our main striker,leading the line.Im sure he will score 10 goals a season. Lets hear it for WEsley

I personally think he should go now......Because, after the next 2 games all the other teams we have to play are wayyyyyy out of our league.

We are in the relegation zone with McGin,Mings and Wesley.Now we have to get out of it without McGinand Mings BUT still with Wesley. Do you think things are looking up ?!

I cant see DS making it in the PL.We could not score enough points/wins before our injury problem and now we have to do 100% better with 2 of our best players injured and Wesley probably still leading the line.

If Wesley tarts tonight we are sunk.He needs at least 1 season on loan in the championship.

I agree,we should keep playing Wesley as our main striker,Jack out wide instead of in the middle of the park and keep playing 433.Then we need to look at where we are in,say 3 years time.Im sure DS will have got it sorted by then.

He would cost in the 20m range bot would be well worth it.If we played 442 maybe he could teach Wesley how to be a striker as well ?!

Maybe not all his input is bieng ignored, just the stuff about Wesley and 433.I really cant see how ANYONE would pick a striker that has only scored in 3 games in almost half a season for a game we neded to win. FFS how can anyone go along with adecision like that ?!.

Its ok.DS has got it sorted, he said after the Leicester game "goals change games" so he keeps playing Wesley because he dosent like change.Its obvious FFS

Irrespective of what the rest of the coaching team say/suggest DS would have the final word. I find it hard to believe that anyone ( including DS ) would start Wesley over Kodja given Wesleys form.

If Wes leeds the line again we might as well pack it in and see if we can go into the championship now and hopefully get promoted at the end of this season.
