It's the way we are to play, with narrow 10s we have no out ball to play it quickly to the wide areas as width comes from the full backs who are defending when we regain possession.

The year under Gerrard has set the club back. The squad has been mis managed as a result. We only have Bailey as a natural wide player

    It's true.
Coutinho and Buendia do not have the pace to play out wide in this division, I don't care what anyone thinks. Buendia may have been able to cut it from the right hand side for Norwich in the Championship (mainly) but he looks lost in a wide position here. You then have to pick between Coutinho and Buendia every match because you have to have pace somewhere in the team and Coutinho wins hands down every time as he is the better player.

We need two new wide players in the next couple of windows along with another central midfielder. Signing Dendoncker was just daft, but the club probably knew that at the time.

We're being very, very poorly run at the moment.

I'm absolutely aware. It's why I'd have respect for him doing it, he's a multi millionaire several times over, he can afford to.

It's not the equivalent of a middle manager hanging in for redundancy.

Let's say he's worth £30m. Even then, a £10m pay off is massive. £10m makes sure his kids, kids, kids don't ever have to work.

Captain crunch is more a captain than mcginn is.

That diving header jesus christ it was one of the most embarrassing things ive seen drom a villa player. Any player that plays football runis to that with his feet and 90% of the time scores.

Mcginns crap and needs to be dropped

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever of McGinn being dropped. None at all. Zip.

He starts every single match this season with Gerrard in charge. We all dream of a lineup without him in it. We tinker. We create fancy formations and line ups using third party websites. But it’s futile.

John McGinn starts every match for Aston Villa under Gerrard.

I wish I could print this out and nail it to the forehead of every moron pundit jumping on the "Mings is shit" bandwagon by blaming him for the goal. He was one of our better players today.

    100%.

He made some very good passes and set up nearly every half decent attack we had.

The pundits can say what they like, he’s the first name on the team sheet for me at the moment.

That header was the only piece of entertainment in the game. I actually laughed out loud when I seen him. I can't even call it audacity.

It was comically bad. It was like a car crash in slow motion. Just awful. Awful, awful, awful.

  6. I found it ironic that the one piece of good play involved him chipping the ball ever so slightly.

Just think, if only he could do that in other situations..

He is so over rated. Offers very little. Our Grealish summer was a disaster. Best part of £100m utterly wasted on Emi2, Leon and Ings! Infuriating. That was the start of our problems and we have never recovered.

I’ve said it multiple times to anybody that would listen. That Summer was a disaster. I really, really hoped we didn’t waste the Grealish money, I thought we were smarter than that and yet here we are.

Buendia isn’t a bad player, not by any stretch, he’s just nowhere near worth £40m and he’s hugely overrated on here.

Not necessarily. They might have found some gems and Gerrard vetoed them because he wanted his mates and old players. Also a different manager might bring the best out of our new players.

I like your take on things more than my own! 👍

🤣 As I said, crack on. You want to keep thinking the world of a poor centre-half who costs us points time and again, work away.

When a better manager than Gerrard comes in, Mings will be out of the team. Mark that.

He’s been arguably our best player this season. Bizarre comment.

  10. Needs to sack Gerrard and the entire backroom staff, bar maybe Cutler.

Then he can sack Lange and that shower of shit ‘scouting’ department we have.

He should go too really, but doubt he will. Club is a mess.
