Scary how good he is. I’ve already accepted there won’t be a better keeper at the club in my lifetime. He’s just absolutely a legend.

Currently living off the fact Bailey came good.
If we took that away, he’d be a right f****** waste of money.
Needs to do a LOT more.

I’d **** Luiz and Buendia off in the Summer

Great to score, but now this is gonna go to extra time and possibly pens, which I absolutely wanted to avoid.
Why? It’s a right laugh.

Hope those who wanted to throw this game for the glory of 4th have a warm glow on right now.
who said that?

Probably need to address the fact that maybe the other team also wants to win and maybe they deserve to? Yes, we’ve been poor, but they’re been great. They deserve to progress. Better from minute 1 of the first leg.

Can't remember the last time we looked this poor.
Second half against Brentford?

Does make me chuckle just how bad the draw was for the English clubs in this round of European football.

I think he's filling some of the Buendia hole. I thought that about him when I saw his highlight reel. Without Ramsey we've had no reel driver and his quick passing reminds me of Buendia.
He’s much better than Buendia

We’re going to know a helluva lot more on Monday morning.

I disagree that we ‘simply can’t afford to lose him’. It will be a blow, no doubt, he’s a very good player, I just think he’ll fetch big money and he’s more replaceable than some of our other players.
For me, there are three players we can’t afford to lose. Watkins, Martinez and McGinn. We simply wouldn’t be able to replace Martinez, much like we couldn’t replace Grealish. Finding a replacement for Watkins would be near impossible and would cost a fortune (and even then might be a dud). McGinn is a little different, I just think he brings something others can’t and he is Mr. Aston Villa.
There is a whole host of top central midfielders out there. Losing Luiz would hurt, I just think with the right scouting we could find somebody as good. I really do. Especially if we have CL pull.

@Jas10 will be hoping Monchi is on the phone.
Fine, but not sure why they chose to use a picture of Justin Trudeau.

Do we sign some free transfers like Hermoso, Ndidi and Ilheanacho so that we can sign 2 expensive players? One of them being Zaniolo.
I don't know which part of this post makes me the most nauseous, the bit about the free transfers or the last part where you talk about signing Zaniolo and it being 'expensive'.

I still think Gallagher would be a good pick up (yeh yeh, I know, cost). Think he's played every game this season and he'd be great competition in so many positions.
Won't happen I know.

Luiz is shit and Tielemans is God now.
What a message board!
Who said Luiz is shit?

First time yesterday I properly saw his pace and strength.
If Torres starts, I think you need someone quick alongside him. Carlos or Konsa can be that dude.
A top class right back in the summer (I think we’ll have two new fullbacks next season) and we’ll cook.

Again, he is the McGinn replacement, in time.
Think if we had Ramsey, as others have said, he would have started today in place of Zaniolo and you'd have McGinn and Tielemans holding back.
He should be quite proud of his past month... and realize the real work starts next season, because a lot of teams are going to take the time to study his tape and break him down. A mark of respect,
No chance is he the McGinn replacement.

There is a very strong chance we could go into the Bournemouth game knowing a win pretty much guarantees CL football next season. VP will be rocking.

Factor in the loans and most of the best British talent has had a stint in the championship
Exactly. I think you could look at that league every season and the top 3/4 players in the division will have a great chance of being very good players in the PL.
I think Summerville and JPB will be playing in the PL next season. Wharton has been superb for Palace since signing too.
I’ve been banging the drum for a while now. There is top talent in that division and those players take less time to settle than fancy overseas signings.
