The referee just blows up whenever a Forest player falls over. He’s really ruining what would otherwise be a terrible spectacle.

How could anyone shine in this "system"
Maybe you’re right, but I still think he underwhelms whenever he starts a game. Massively overrated on here.

Buendia has been poor.

Our set pieces are an absolute f***** car crash.

God that forest team is absolutely garbage.
There is no way we don't win this.
I’ve not been keeping a close eye on exactly who they’ve been signing, I just know it’s a lot of players. Looking at tonight’s team, it’s such an absolute mish mash. You can’t sign all those players and still have the likes of Cook, McKenna and Yates still starting.
We really have to win this.

I think if I was Danny Ings I'd be on the phone with my agent, not getting a start after Ollie's recent form.
I wouldn’t. He’s not getting 125k a week anywhere else. I’d be deleting my agents number if I were him.

I remember at the start of the season, there was hope McGinn wouldn’t be undroppable because he was now captain, but let’s be honest, he is absolutely undroppable.
Flabbergasted that Watkins is starting ahead of Ings and Archer. Laughable if I’m being honest.
Glad Buendia gets a go.

If Luiz/Kamara stay next year, I can it being those two and Tim in the middle.
I really hope he comes good and is ready for next season as the club just can’t get it right in midfield in the transfer market (Kamara aside).

Two holding midfield players. Buendia and Bailey in the Saka & Martinelli roles and play coutinho close to the striker like Odegaard does.
Kamara should have been next to Luiz at the start of the season as the two you mention above.

I read an article recently saying that Bailey is most affective and started most matches in Germany on the left wing, which begs the question why he starts sort of wide ish right for us????
I think he prefers to play on the right. To be honest, I think he cuts a lost figure at the moment. Drifts in and out of games, looks lightweight and has very little end product. Maybe that will change with a different manager, not sure.

Bailey and Watkins shouldn’t start this match. They’ve been mostly terrible all season, Watkins especially.

As much chance as pigs flying but this is how I would set up.
Rather play Ramsey on the left than Watkins. Nothing about Watkins game suggests he’d be good as a left sided attacking player.

Quiet this morning. Not seeing much on social media other than the bridge attack.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, trying to find articles and podcasts on the nuclear question, and there isn’t much out there that really gets you close to an answer.
But a few things that seemed like cause for optimism to me:
- Putin has been insinuating that he will use nukes for months now, and multiple different “red lines” have been crossed. The real trigger would surely still be a genuine threat to Russia’s (pre-2014) territorial integrity, in line with well established Russian doctrine.
- Putin is a survivor. He’s wriggled his way out of tight spots before. His main priority will surely be clinging on to power in Russia, and he’ll already be working on how he scapegoats other people for this disaster, plays rivals off against each other, etc. That’s his more natural route to surviving this than just starting a global nuclear war, and might be more feasible within Russia than it looks to us from the outside.
- In many ways this war was Putin trying to prove his ultra-nationalist credentials to factions that regarded him as too centrist / pro-west (!!!) and a lot of the grandstanding and nuclear chat can potentially be seen in that light.
- There is no sign of Russia manoeuvring any nuclear weapons into position.
- There are other forms of escalation still available to Putin.
- Although anything is possible, and we shouldn’t discount the threat of nuclear weapons, or expect Putin/Russia to be entirely rational, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense to use a nuke.
As always Kent, superb analysis. Thanks.

Will this trigger the first ‘tactical’ nuke?

Yeh. That was very poor. Feel for him a bit there.

I really feel for you mate but what you said above is what is most important. Don't beat yourself up about the extra money it has/is costing you. You cannot put a value on having peace of mind and feeling that you are secure in terms of that you can cope with your repayments now/going forwards.
Cheers Mark.

I just remortgaged at 4.6% with Barclays off my 1.5% rate. I gave them £5k for the privilege. Monthly payments up £500 (pure interest). I went with a 5 just for a bit more added security. I personally predict we’ll see interest rates drop back down to 2/2.5% in 3 years time. I just felt that even if they do, 4.6% seems like a decent rate.
Absolutely gutted. Felt physically sick for last couple of days but needs must. I was due to remortgage next June when it’s widely predicted the BOE rate will be closer to 5-6%. That would potentially put me at 7.5/8% mortgage which means I’d have to sell the house.
I have peace of mind now at least. Just such bad luck when my best mate remortgaged 6 months ago for 5 years at 1.8% and he’ll pay £30k less interest than I will over the next 60 months.
My LTV was 59% btw and it’s only because it was a product switch that allowed me to secure the 4.6% rate. I was actually failing the affordability tests with other banks which is laughable considering they couldn’t wait to throw money at me 18 months ago.
Millions are going to struggle next year I think. So sad.

You know as well as anyone that Steven can't and won't leave McGinn and Ramsey out. The two players that unbalance our team when played together in CM, Steven sees as our undroppables!
This. You won't see a lineup while Gerrard is here that doesn't feature both players. I'm sure he'd even play both out of position as long as it meant they were on the pitch.
Ramsey I can understand. McGinn is just pish.

But the mini budget won't / can't work. It's like betting that you can stem the bleeding of a bullet wound by stabbing yourself. Everything they do makes us bleed out faster. The best thing they can do to save the country is call a GE and get out of the way.
This x1000.

It's all good. We'll scrape by I think but everything stops as of now. Holidays, meals out, I even need to sell one of our cars!
Thanks Liz. Could our government get any worse.

The markets are settling down. Hold firm, we’ll get back to something resembling normality in due course.
Interest rates are brutal atm. It’s a complete lottery as to what I do. My mortgage payment going up £580 is something I’m not sure I can or want to try and afford.

We just pass the ball sideways and backwards for a few minutes and then knock it down the line for Watkins to chase. It’s mind numbingly boring and predictable.
We’re a really awful team to watch. Forest are hideously bad and they’re pretty much matching us.
Gerrard out - yeh fine - but we’re going to be down there regardless of who we bring in as manager. Our midfield is trash.
