  1. Look at Kalinic. If they didn't feel he was good enough we would be buying a new rb
  2. Would burnley let heaton leave?
  3. I just don't get it. Its not like Bournemouth said you can have him for 15 mill and we decided to spend more. This was his price. It was pay it or gamble on another signing. When you take into account he knows the system, clearly works well in the system, is a big influence in the dressing room and absolutely loves it here I don't think we have over paid. How many players that match all that criteria do people think are out there?
  4. I think we need to catch up with spending. When wan basaka is going for 50 mill and mcguire rumoured at 90. 20 is not a premium for proven established premier league players.
  5. They have agreed a fee. Both clubs. And he is progressing his career. YOU deem it disrespectful because YOU deem the fee too high. That's ridiculous.
  6. Can't see it. You do that and you lose jack in his best role.
  7. Hey i'm in agreement with you. I just don't believe we will spend that amount on a player who isn't first choice and i don't think maupay would join us in that role.
  8. Well please explain why bournemouth not wanting him should then lower the fee. We either sign him for this amount or we don't. Its really as simple as that.
  9. Its irrelevant. I might not want my car anymore. I might not like it and just want rid. But if someone takes it for a test drive and tells me they are absolutely in love with it, i'm not going to sell it on the cheap am I.
  10. He wasn't unwanted. He was really wanted by a newly rich promoted team. The last part has nothing to do with it. If anything his desire to join us and us falling in love with him probably played a key part in the price being so high
  11. We've got good value in el ghazi, hause and jota. We may over pay on a couple but so far i think we are doing brilliant business.
  12. And i'd have rather bought my house for 50 grand less but i wanted it and the owners would only sell for the price they wanted.
  13. You could say that about every position. We aren't signing a £20 million attacking mid if jack gets injured. I think if you're expecting £20 million back up players who are happy in that role, you will be disappointed this summer.
  14. Agreed. But we aren't paying £20 million for options and maupay isn't coming to be part of plan b. Jota and hause are the kind of signings to give options and plan b
  15. The move to cb will help with injuries.
  16. Guess how much it costs to sign proven premier league quality?
  17. I keep seeing this on twitter. We aren't paying for what he's done for bournemouth, we are paying that amount because he was immense for us, fits the system and is a massive boost for morale. Would you rather not have signed him?
  18. I think it will be one or the other. We already have el ghazi and jota. Can't see us having 4 wingers who will all want regular playing time.
  19. Can't see us signing maupay now wesley is here.
  20. I'm saying it because he is our most important player, brings the best out of him and clearly helped the team, given our record run. What makes mings more captain material?
  21. The premier league is a **** cash cow at the moment. While i don't want us to get shafted in every deal, if these are the players we have identified then over paying is probably something that has to happen. If anyone wanted grealish or Mcginn we would expect massive over paying. Lets get it done.
  22. Sturridge as our main striker has disaster written all over it. Sturridge in the squad behind wesley is appealing to me a lot. The guy is quality.
