    with the ammount of poles in birmingham you could easily add 10000 to the gate by signing a polish superstar. If the owners were as rich as they say they'd go all out and get lewandowski in on a six month loan. however he's always been to scared to come to the prem. we need a non cup tied striker to come in and fire us to wembley. we actually need four strikers just to give us a fighting chance. If one doesn't hit the ground running one of the others will.

    Burnley is his home town club so I doubt he'd leave unless we blew him out the water. and anyway he's only just moved there. I would be very suprised if we pulled this one off. I've always rated him though.

    Looks like Smith and Terry have gone over Jesus's head this time. I don't remember too much of that Lecicester team that won the league. They just seemed to be a knock it long to Vardy counter attacking unit. Drinkwater never seemed to do a lot apart from the Steve Sidwell role. If he's cover for McGinn he needs to appear really busy especially without the ball and needs to weigh in with a few worldies.

    This is the market Villa are in. If we want prem experience don't want to pay mega money we have to look at waifs and strays, footballers with baggage. Historically we've done alright with the likes of Merson and McGrath and ronny johnson....but we've also been bummed by Micah Richards, Joe Cole etc. The one thing that has annoyed me about this deal is a) we need a striker and 2) we can no longer take another chelsea player so Giroud is now out of the question. Then there's the fact he couldn't get in a Burnley team featuring Ashley WEstwood. However if he had done we could of been celebrating Ashley Westwoods return.

    sick of waiting for this guy to get fit. If we had 2 decent strikers his name wouldn't be mentioned at all. Speaks volumes about the big mess we're in.

    can't believe Smith has been loaning out body more heath to lower league sides. all of this whilst we go crashing out of the cup!........ disgrace! If I was a chef I would have refused to stay behind. I'd have said "oi smith no! cook your own mates their dinner. my shift finished already" The B team should be there doing extra training after serving up that dirge at fulham.
