Yes, you're correct... (edit: how to run the club) BUT this all depends on Lambert and how quickly he is willing to move his own purchases to the bomb squad. For example, analysis was done (which I can't find right now) that said in the business place the best way to get star performers is to hire frequently and sack under performers quickly. Same can be said for Villa. No point in Lambert signing players for a million and hanging onto them for 5 years if they are crap. He needs to ship them off, sign another and see if they turn out like Benteke. He has yet to move any of his signings to the bomb squad. Not saying he should yet - but it is vital he doesn't stick with them if they aren't up for it.

If they are taking on 75k a week and giving us 2 million up front then its a better deal than a transfer IMO Thats a total of nearly £6million for the year. Considering most of our signings are below £5 million we can now get a player potentially as good as we all hope Okore will be, or stump up another million or two for another Benteke! Not only that, but he is in the shop window for a year. So we could get a transfer fee of another million or two next season if he does well. And final piece of good news, to my knowledge he can't play against Villa while on loan. Good news all round. Fantastic news in fact. And I wish him well because he has been good for us, whether he fits into Lamberts plans or not.

I would expect all to give it 100% except for Ireland and Bent. I think the rest, while some may not want to play for Villa anymore, are still professionals who would try their best. In any case, that team would get us relegated.
