  1. C I where ever you are just back from the game. Villa looked good today up to Weimanns goal. Prove we can pass the ball and Stoke were hardley getting a touch. As soon as the goal came it was back to sitting deep. We have quality up front and McLeish should try it some time instead of shitting himself that we might concede to many if we play to far up the field, I see no proof of this yet. Stoke were just awful, letting players dry the ball for 1 minute is just taking the piss, slows everything down they were blantently playing for throw ins too. McLeish looked up at us at the end of the game smiling his head off clapping like we had just won 5-0. He is so happy drawing ya know, a **** win now and again at Villa Park would hurt ya useless word removed!
  2. But imagine what he could achieve with proper backing! Probably 4th EDIT: Sorry, finger slipped. I meant 5th! From bottom yeah!
  3. Yawn! It still does not justify the negative boring dull football we have been watching. If we played more entertaining football even though we are in relegation battle i don't think there would be as many fans against McLeish and could take into account other issues.
  4. You no what I mean. Anyhow Randy has said transfer funds are not the issue its the wages. I can see Randy giving a bit of cash even if it involves selling players, he will be flapping after this season I kid you not.
  5. Yeah the same as he did at blues, he had money there you know and did'nt sign 'gems'. He signed Dann, Vidic, Ridgewell to name a few.
  6. So if we finish mid table next season after spending say 25 million and still playing negative boring football, this will be seen as a successful season by McLeish and Lerner.
  7. Give him another season and we will be in transition again 13/14 season. Cause if he does stay, he will definately not be here then. He will not be successful here period, get rid now sooner rather than later. Im not sure what people are expecting from McLeish, he has showed nothing to prove he can be a success here.
  8. So you think our first team we could do any better, cause we rolled over last time we played them. This wasn't a classic Liverpool side and with there recent track record I was looking for a win. i can understand the difficult situation McLeish has found himself in, but with 20 million and a near full season the team has not changed since day one of the season, if anything, it looks worst. The players have proved there potential I.e Chelsea, so no one tell me the team is just not good enough.
  9. Are you in the right Forum? It was just reference 'Morski' said the board had no intentions of sacking him. As if we even know what the board are thinking anytime!
  10. We still have a team to provide to Bent. Its just McLeish does not use players effectively. Ireland, Nzog and Albrighton even Gabby could all provide Bent with more than enough assists. We just dont play that type of game. With McLeish tactics he will always be alone striker. If we played around Bent it would be a mush more entertaining dynamic game.
  11. There's no rumour from liverplops board Doglish will be sacked, but refer to the results and others think otherwise, even the media in his case
  12. As soon as we are relegation safe we should kick up the biggest fuss protesting against McLeish till the end of the season. Surely Randy would be insane to keep him for next season. Hold all season tickets until we know whats going on. If he is still here the start of next season boycott the first game.
  13. Ahhh, I know him, his still around, the guy with the crazy eye brows. It was a guy yeah???
  14. Could be like a game of tennis for fans sitting in the Doug ellis or trinity stands. Hoof Hoof!
  15. To be fair I would remain dignified and respectful for sure, I would'nt wanna get carried away and lose my 2 mil (whatever it is) a year salary. Honestly, he has never once (like even big managers) blamed himself for any performances this season, its either fans or players but never his inept negative tactics, because he always believes a draw is a good result.
  16. I remember the one guy getting stuck on the terrace roof.
  17. Villa youth days and the Zulu very scary as a kid, seeing the groups of houligans outside the ground. Always reminds me of the Film the Firm with Gary Oldman when they are around the Birmingham flea market avin it.
  18. In reality we need a manager with a proven track record of success. McLeish has not, what ever Lerner and the board say they were wrong. Houllier was a little out of touch being out the game for so long. O'Neil was proof it works, but a little control on the finances could have seen us still up there near the big boys.
  19. We need a big name to control and motivate the players. Its obvious some players think they are bigger than Mcleish, same happened with Houllier. There would be no chance in the world McLeish could control a team like man City or Chelsea for example. Rodgers or Lambert have quality and I may try but I doubt they could control the likes of Collins, Dunn, Nzog.
  20. Cannot play negative against stoke just wont work. Attack with pace and this game could be an easy 3 points.
  21. We are not Barca no, never will be. But what we could equal with Barca if not quality is, disipline, motivation and graft, One thing McLeish and agreed other managers dont seem to be getting out of this squad. We rarely see every player grafting for the team. If we do change manager this should be vital in the next managers CV, thats why I believe only a big manager could be employed next. We as fans dont look too high i.e Ancelotti for example, its just the least required to take us forward.
  22. There is rumour we have funds for the summer, so are you happy for McLeish to spendl and if so do you reckon tactically we will play more entertaining football.
  23. Oh my god! Imagine signing Doglish, it could happen here ya know. It would be absolutely insane!
  24. You did'nt really answer my previous question. Would you be happy to keep McLeish and give him 50-60 million to spend in the summer on a clear out. Is he the way forward with better players??
  25. Maybe not, but maybe they wanted to play for McAllister and had enough of Houllier. This team will never improve under McLeish, its not changed since the begining of the season, I also worry about the youth under McLeish, he's not much of a development/tactical manager.
