  1. Hmmm Scorpio better be on the affordable side of life then like £400-ish cause if not PC gaming is getting far more affordable. The AMD RX 480 is like £200 and it's forte is 1080p60. Want a bit more grunt? The RX 490 is rumoured to be about £280 and that is likely the GPU in the Scorpio. Microsoft need to realise that their console business is important, that just because every exclusive at E3 this year was on PC does not mean that you make your new console for a niche market. If I was in marketing there I would be speaking the same as when Xbox 360 came out in the time where HDTV's were still uncommon. I would be saying things like "Xbox Scorpio is designed to take advantage of the latest in UHD technology, but it will still work and offer great advances in visuals, frame rate and gameplay even if you still own a 1080p display." That was the message Xbox 360 used albeit taking advantage of 720p and that it still worked on your 480p/i displays. Spencer coming out and being so adamant that Scorpio is basically just the same Xbox One just with enough grunt to play these same games at 4K is not impressive really.
  2. Welcome Tony.. I hope you bring much success and prosperity to this great club.
  3. @Chindie Except Resident Evil 7, but I suppose that isn't a PS4 exclusive anyway. That is a full Resident Evil game when it launches January 24th 2017 and can be played from start to finish in VR. It's the only full VR game they showed though.
  4. Let me just add.. He also has one of the best assistant managers in the world as stated by Jose Mourinho himself during his time at Chelsea and two world elite coaches in Battara and Marchesi.. It couldn't be more perfect for RDM. His hardest job is clearing out the shit and signing less shit if not approaching good players to replace them. We don't have that many excuses if we don't at least finish Top 4 at least.
  5. I wasn't really around for those days but his access to us was a bit different wasn't it? Our access with Xia is through his Weibo which I assume like Twitter he can block anyone that is a word removed. Xia through that format has complete control over who he responds to and who he doesn't. If he wants no contact he can likely make his account private.. I think the Xia situation is a tad different but I do get what you mean, sometimes contact with the fans especially when things aren't going well isn't always for the best.
  6. I am sure one of them is mine.. I'm always chatting all sorts of shit.
  7. No Neo. Though Sony still had what I consider to be the best conference through sheer games alone and they made PSVR look like a must have item for every PS4 gamer, but no talk of the new console unfortunately. I am hearing rumblings that Sony confirmed Neo in a press statement as to not show it at E3 so they can go back to the drawing board, as with Microsoft having confirmed that Xbox Scorpio is real and that it is vastly more powerful than the rumoured Neo specs it seems Sony are panicking a bit with that.
  8. We'll find out in about 5 years when he finishes it. He's yet to find a graphics engine to use for the game so he hasn't even started it yet, this trailer is all that exists of the whole game.. It's gonna be a while.
  9. 4K can be done. Just not at the highest settings like the post I quoted was hoping for. 4K60 could probably be done at low/medium settings but it depends just what low/medium equates to visually. 4K is a goal, a dream for some but it's a very very demanding gaming resolution. It wouldn't be the first time Microsoft have overstated the resolution and frame rate their console is meant to hit. I hope they can hit 4K and do with ease, but it's hard to do.
  10. It's so good to have an owner that actually communicates with the fans when they ask him questions. I am sure that will stop eventually but for now it is super refreshing. It almost feels like we have a direct line to the boss which is pretty cool lol.
  11. Didn't show GT.. GT is nothing these days. It was great back when it was one of the only racing sims on earth, but now every platform has like 3 or 4 of them it's not special anymore.
  12. 4K60 is pushing it for Scorpio. It's only a diddy 6 TeraFLOP system. The 9 TeraFLOP GTX 1080 can only manage 4K60 on high graphics, it can't even max them out. Might pay to temper your expectations for 4K on Scorpio just a tad. It will be powerful but just like Microsoft boasted Xbox One could do 1080p60, Scorpio won't be doing 4K60 and if anything the majority of its experiences will be 1440p or lower if they want uber insane graphics.
  13. They may be hurting and they may be sad at the time. The difference is they can go out and buy a McLaren 570s with three weeks pay, some of them in only two weeks. That kind of shit cheers you up pretty damn fast I am sure.
  14. Might be down so they can switch the new look website. Get everything looking fresh before the new owner is announced.
  15. 5:30pm and literally anywhere. IGN website, Gamespot website. There will likely be a handful of sites hosting the conference on Twitch and YouTube.
  16. Tony is in the UK. He flew into Birmingham from LA yesterday and according to his Weibo (Chinese Twitter) it is all done. We are likely just waiting for the FA/Football League to announce it to the press.
  17. PC. Only a handful of celebrities were using controllers. The rest were largely owning it up on keyboard and mouse.
  18. All in all a pretty average day by E3 standards. EA was terrible I just don't know what they were thinking really. The whole dual show format is only fun for those that got a ticket to the London show, even then it was a pretty typecast affair. EA were like British people like sports right? Lets talk about an NFL tournament happening in LA and FIFA 17 that'll please em' Pleeeease EA we are a nation that loves sport yes but treat us like you can show us more than that next time yeah? 'Fe' looked like a cool game. I am still sceptical about the whole EA Originals scheme mainly because it's EA. I mean "all profits" go to the developer? So what's in it for EA? Is this charity is EA actually being selfless? I have my doubts, I get a feeling that something will come out that indie devs as part of the deal had to sign over IP rights, so while they get the profits if they walk away they lose what put them on the map. Aside from that little cynical rant they ended the show positively with what will likely be many gamers FPS of the year Battlefield 1. That game is just stunning there isn't much else really to say about it other than that. As for Bethesda they did well considering the whole show could have fallen flat when it was obvious Wolfenstein 2 was not appearing. All in all I came away impressed. Quake Champions by iD Software should be great fun, very ballsy to have it as a PC exclusive even though arena shooters like that tend to only work well on PC anyway. Looking forward to Quakecon to see more on that. Prey looked cool and it's a unique take on the series feels very psychological horror with a seemingly BioShock type twist at the end with the main character talking to himself in the mirror, I cannot wait to see more. Aside from that the show was pretty standard. Skyrim: Special Edition looks cool as it's basically a heavily modded version of Skyrim on PC being used as the base version. I am looking forward to that as modding Bethesda game typically causes stability to tank, that or I just have bad luck with the mods I choose. Dishonored 2 looked pretty rad but I'm not a huge Dishonored fan to be honest. I have always been left scratching my head at all the praise it got, but maybe I just missed something or maybe I played it in a way that made it less fun. So may need to revisit that one. Bring on Microsoft, UbiSoft and Sony!!
  19. What makes me think that there is more to this than meets the eye is Xia's plans. We get that Recon is likely worth about £10 billion if other Chinese articles about his asset worth are true. Yet he's spending more than you would expect. He has a $3 billion deal to buy a logistics company in the US. He wants to buy four more clubs so you'd assume he has more than enough money to buy us, run us, make us the top team in English football and run four other clubs. He also wants to turn the greater Aston area into a massive Aston Villa theme park. Maybe Xia is just absurdly rich and he hides it very very well. Yet it seems incredibly likely that there is investment coming in from somewhere. He may be funding the logistics takeover himself as we know his company has cash, but the rest seems like an awful lot of money for a company to invest with no guarantee of a return on investment.
  20. Live in the now and enjoy it rather than thinking about what may or may not happen in the future.
  21. It's only going to get leakier until publishers and devs start to understand this ultra-connected world better. They need to stop preemptively doing things as all these leaks have come from people finding strings of code in websites, or seeing a trailer they gave Snapchat a week early for some reason. Publishers need to stop and slow down a bit cause they are ruining their own element of surprise. They can blame coders and apps all they want for leaks but there is nothing to find or accidentally see if you just hold off on doing all this stuff until the last possible moment.
  22. A richest men in china article I think was on Forbes. It placed him like 500th or so worth about $77 million. It was posted on this site almost 2 months ago yet Forbes post so much shit I'm struggling to find it through Google.
  23. It's accurate. The guy personally is only worth about $70 million or so. That said his company where all his assets are stored is what is worth all the money. He's said on numerous occasions that he can just sell up a stake in something and get another £400 million. He's not super rich as a person but that's likely to keep him off rich lists which he seems to prefer, but he has cash through his company. There was an article found some weeks back that described his company as a collection of assets worth in the 100 billions, now back then we all assumed it was 100 billions in Yuan, but that is still over £10 billion.
  24. So one sided and yet no one taking their chances, it's frustrating to watch.
  25. Yeah when the likes of Middlebrough only spent like £10 million last season it's crazy that we are looking at potentially £50+ million if some of our better players move on. That said we are in a position of power as if Ayew/Gana/Amavi/Veretout don't leave then we keep them and still have £35 million to spend.
