  1. Hull who were as good as gone are now above us and competing for promotion rather than avoid relegation. Anything could happen once form click on.
  2. Especially if we can get him on loan. Would be fantastic signing for everybody.
  3. I think John Terry is still trying to keep him. Well I would like to think that.
  4. This season we’re back to the old Villa we know. Losing from winning positions, last minutes goal conceded and the liability at the back.
  5. He’s very good. Sometimes he’s a bit selfish, but I’d rather see him try and try rather then getting the ball to the back all the time.
  6. Its not as if we will not sign anyone if we’re up. Even while we’re down we’re expecting from the board a lot of changes. Also the style of play will not be the same up there in all games, look at how Wolves are doing compared to Fulham. Even Cardiff who were nailed to be going down. Another season will mean no Grealish nor McGin. Let alone the loanees as Tuanzebe, Abraham and Bolasie. We might buy El Ghazi though. Up there we might be able to spend or be in a better position to sign players wether it was on loan or permanently.
  7. But why is it that way? It’s definitely their mistake. As you remember last season, once Davis took his part he made his place. I’m not saying we should play him now as we already have Abraham and Kodjia fit. Last season we got Grabban. But I mean if we had fit senior strikers he wouldn’t have had his chance, or he was going to feature couple of minutes every now and then. Which would be harsh to judge him by. We have a lot of average players as Hutton, Elmo, Whelan, Nyland and I’d say even Adomah recently. Yes they have their part to play but any player could replace them. JDH might replace Whelan without even noticing the difference for example. You need to try every now and then those players to know who’s going to make it. We wouldn’t have tried Grealish if we didn’t have Sherwood that season. He only had couple of cameos when Lambert was there. Something is definitely wrong. There are couple of places in our squad that are filled with old average players. We need to do something regarding that.
  8. To be hones Bree had couple of good performances, last season I think he came for Axel against Cardiff, which was one of the biggest games of the season, and we had a clean sheet.
  9. Talking about Hogg, how many times did he play with us? I don’t remember many actually. Though when he and couple of young players as Bannan (we had an injury crises) played very good against the league winners that season Man Utd. I think there is a link missing between managers having the courage to play those player, and not having a proper plans to integrate them in the first team. No one was saying that Bree should start couple of weeks ago, yet now after couple of solid performances at cb people want to see him as a rb. Which should be said about every player who have potential. If we will play Clark then fair enough lets get him, if not the atleast sign a new contract and leave him out there. But thats if we’re going to sign a new lb. if not the I would definitely have him back. Why do we accept mistakes from the so-called experienced players, while we expect from youngsters not to mistake? For me, that was one of the biggest mistakes we’ve done, we had a good academy but could benefit our team nor the players development themselves.
  10. Exactly, I don’t like to slate players just because of missing chances. Glad I’ve haven’t seen Birker one, and actually accepted a draw by then. But as long as you’re creating and playing well, you’ll reach where you want. With our play at the first half, you knew it was coming. If we were creating a proper chances since the beginning things would have been different.
  11. People seem to forget that missing the most important players isn’t as easy as losing any player. Everyone are seeing Real Madrid without Ronaldo, even Barcelona without Messi. There are couple of positions which we could afford to rotate or have replacements for. The only player that might fill Grealish place was Lansbury who have been injured. Even O’hare who might be introduced at these game is injured now. Thor is just getting back. So basically playing Whelan instead of Jack is a big blow in our system. Its the last thing you’d want. Add to that losing Axel without having any defender. We can’t just say that Smith system isn’t working with us nor that all of our hopes are gone. We still have a huge window coming up.
  12. The most worrying part is that we’re not playing well. Some of it is because if we’re playing Whelan. I didn’t have a good connection especially in the last half an hour. But we’ve been trying much better with Birker than we did with Whelan. Wether he missed chances or not, but we need him to make up the abscence of Jack. We can’t put Whelan and expect to play as we did with Grealish. Generally I guess results were fine, we’re one point closer to Leeds and Norwich. Still 9 with West Brom. Although we’re 5 points to top 6 instead of 3. I’m not too confident against QPR, but playing Birker instead of Whelan will make us look much better atleast. Then we’ll look at our squad and hope for the best.
  13. Well with Grealish not being availabe is a big blow. But if we could hit a form of a winning streak everything is possible. We need to look at Norwich and WBA. And lets hope of a season similar to 2012/2013. It all depends on how all teams are doing. Usually winning streaks is always the difference. You’re saying we need 16 wins out of 22. But if we hit a form now and win our next 6 or 7, we would need 10 wins out of 16, which is very possible. Anyway, every game by itself and let’s see how it goes.
  14. I don’t think he will be any worse than Elmo or Hutton. They’re at most average. Atleast with Bree he might be a better player, if he isn’t already.
  15. We need managers who have the courage to play these youngsters. Hopefully Smith is the one.
  16. I heard he was doing a very great job with Barnsley. Theyre still remembring him. So its not that he’s not proven at this level.
  17. Yet as ugly as Cardiff playing, theyre still picking results from here and there without spending. We need to put in our minds that another season in the championship means there is no Grealish. Grealish quality can’t be found easily nor being able getting him to the championship. We don’t need to change the whole squad if we’re promoted. We could build the team around (Jack, McGin, El Ghazi, Well Chester and if we could get another loan of Abraham and Bolasie) I will be really happy with those 6 starting upthere. We’re still having this new keeper and couple of signing this winter which could be helpful in building the squad. Anyway even financially its better for us to go up even if it meant going down again.
  18. Do u think Bree would do well as a right back? I’ve watched some of Leeds game and was a bit busy while watching Swansea on my phone. So haven’t been following him properly. But I guess he deserves his chance there. And I hope this clean sheet can give him more confidence.
  19. Sheff Weds is always a tricky game. But what youre saying about PNE is encouraging. QPR is always dangerous, especially with their form now.
  20. He’s a tricky player and have good techniques on him. We need as much creative players as we can. We’re missing Jack a lot at the moment. Yet we’re still scoring but not creating much. I guess with Grealish he could have less attention towards him from the defence which could give him more space and be more useful.
  21. We haven’t win the game before new year, have? I remember our streak began with our win at Boro.
  22. We’re saying its an easy run but in reality Preston and QPR are far from being easy fixtures. Two of the most in form teams. If we won those two things could look much more brighter. But to be honest, Leeds winning against us and Rovers is really bad. Had they dropped 4 and we got a point from Leeds it would have been only 10 points. Every round at a time.
  23. Its not as simple as drawing with 7th and 11th at home. You need to look at the circumstances. Thats why I was more gutted drawing with WBA away (which should be a good result) yet I’m fine with Stoke result and mixed about Forest result. We played our first game without Jack against one of the toughest sides defensively (Derby couldn’t score against them when they had only 10 players). I’m not saying we won’t win without Jack but against a team like Stoke it was always going to be hard to break them out. While against Forest they’ve only lost 2 by then. They were the second strongest defence. So to come back from an early 2-0, and kept coming back was good character to see. Yet the drew at the end which made it a bit hard to take, while if they scored the 5th before and we drew them we would have taken it. WBA in the other hand we were above them in their place, and got robbed at the end. So that game which we all got gutted after.
  24. So Sheff U, Derby, Forest all lost points. If we could somehow win tomorrow then it suddenly would like a lot brighter.
  25. If we win tomorrow then great, if not then this Norwich would be really annoying. Hopefully Rovers could score though in the last couple of minutes.
