Having potentially nicked their manager who has 'transformed' the club and just won them their first ever league title i could imagine them being pretty pissed at us. I doubt they'll want to hold hands just yet.... Yeaaa - Orrr, they are pretending to be pissed, but actually if we are giving them 2? Maybe 3 mill? (or is that wide of the mark?) they might actually be ok?. I'm sure there is a nucleus now in terms of a decent squad which should see them continue their push for another title. They just need to get the right man again. I still recon they could benefit by 'teaming up' with us.

I think it would be sweet if we developed a proper relationship with Molde as a result of all this, what's it called - affiliate club or something? (FM fans?) might benefit them if we perhaps send some of our players out on loan to a top club in another country, and in turn, we buy all their best players or have first refusal. We should start building some relationships - and this would be a decent start! Heaven knows they are gonna get a couple of million out of this if it comes true. They might love us for it!

Even if we do atleast we will have a young, hungry and successful character to manage us and get us back to where we belong. If we do go down it will be down the players if we don't change it up enough. Where as this season it was a combination of the players and management that delivered gash football. I'm for this - lets get it done.

A lot of people slating Warnock for his shocker against Swansea. Terry had one against Liverpool the other night, infact - he was **** shite, and, he embarrasses himself in a vital game at the Nou Camp- But he has been selected for England over Rio Ferdinand. My point, I don't think Warnock is all that bad and he actually did give a crap about how he was playing. There arnt many other left backs that I would take that have a huge amount of prem experience. Same for Hutton, I really don't think he was that bad and that there were far bigger problems within the team/set up which explain why we were dogshit last season.

Thank goodness. Phase 2 is scary though - bringing the right man back in!! Perhaps we will be the first club to immediately hire someone who has just been sacked from that club?

THat game vs Newcastle is literally the worst performance since 3-0 away at Doncaster. . 0-7 at Chelsea, Btw kmacs win ratio was better than our last 2 managers You mean.. 7-1 at Chelsea Yea, didn't he win like, 2 outa 5, but that includes being hammered 6-1 by a newly promoted Newcastle? Must admit if we still had Milner in that team we woulda been alright. KMAC should not manage our 1st team. Happy for him to assist in some capacity.

Ah, James Milner was freaking brilliant for us. Just look how we played in the first game of last season... We won 3-0 against west ham and looked decent... He then left, everything went to shit.... Not saying we were a one man team, but... He was quality and we miss him. I would choose him over Young,Downing and Barry without doubt....

I just can't see how this would be allowed to continue. It's obvious it's not working so why drag it out until it is totally beyond repair? We can have another transition period but this time hopefully it will work out - if we get someone decent in to manage the team and build throughout the Summer Window. If McLeish stays we will probably be relegated next season. He doesnt have what it takes to manage at such a high level in the premier league. Quite why Lerner appointed him we'll never know. It feels as though he is punishing us somehow. We'll, nutsacks to that - I havnt spent a penny on Aston Villa since January, and I will continue not to spend until someone else is brought in to get us where we belong....

So we need a Stoke or a West Brom (or both) win at the weekend. Or better still, a win for us! Then we can finally, do the right thing...?

Worst season ever - hated every minute of this football year... Can't wait till it frigging ends. I refuse to let it get to me whilst I'm working, but come the weekend, whether I have a good one or not, depends on our result.

I think all we're doing here guys is looking to get to 1000 pages quicker than anticipated. There is no truth in anything that is being said at the moment as far as these rumours are concerned. The only thing that is correct is that - McLeish isn't a very good manager. Sadly, we are stuck with him.

I quite like Niall Quinn... He's the only person who I really see that has played the game, and sounds as though he has fairly decent business acumen. Whilst this is obviously true... I'm going to say something which I hate hearing/reading - we are where we are (ugh, cringe) - So unfortunately we are going to have to play this waiting game before something can be done. But I agree we shouldn't be there especially since 2 years ago we were... (I don't think I can finish the sentence without shedding a tear)
