  1. Really want Ancelotti! Would be amazing! I didn't realise that the other thread had been locked, lol I was refreshing for ages.
  2. I feel like that too. Part of me thinks it will be a disaster but part of me thinks he has got to have gotten somethings right, he has won the champions league and 2 la liga titles. Still would rather have Moyes, Hughes or Ancelotti over him though! NO MCCLAREN!
  3. Where the odds from mate? All I can say is that when we appointed Houllier he wasn't even in the top 5 of the favourites. I know we all want the appointment ASAP but its going to be a long process, even if it takes a week, it will feel like ages! Really hope we get Ancelotti in!
  4. Where is all this McClaren stuff coming from? :s
  5. The more and more I think about it I am warming to Hughes. He doesn't have the same pedigree as Ancelotti/Wilkins would but he would bring some stability to the club and you never know how well he could do after a few seasons here. Ancelotti and Wilkins are still my first choice though but wouldn't be disappointed with Hughes.
  6. Hughes ain't that bad. Just think there are some more exciting options out there. I do not doubt that he would do a good job. Maybe if he was here for 3-4 years achieving 6-8th he would eventually get everything right and we might kick on. No matter what we do the next manager needs to be given some time!
  7. Most people are advocating the board trying to go and get them and in Ancelotti's case, as he is a free agent, why not give it a go? If you don't ask, you don't get and in this game you may as well aim high. Have to agree. Before we go for Hughes or Moyes we should at least see if Ancelotti would be interested. If he says no then we move on. We should aim as high as possible. Ancelotti and Wilkins would be my number one choice! I think with those two we would be right back up there like we were before MON did a runner!
  8. I don't know. If he wants to go I'd rather he went now and that money was re-invested and players brought in who actually want to be here. I don't understand why players think they are all that and will dominate the Champions League! Just sell Young and Downing and reinvest the money and bring in N'Zogbia and another attacking midfielder and give Albrighton a run in the first team! Really disappointed with Downing.
  9. It would be crazy to get Ancelotti or Rjikard. Would love either of them! If not Moyes, Jol or Hughes would be solid managers. I think they'd keep us at 7-9 but would love Ancelotti or Rjikard.
  10. Really do not want to lose Downing. I'm resigned to the loss of Young now but not Downing. That would shatter me! Really hope we manage to let Young go early and show some intent with his replacement and that would demonstrate to Downing that he should sign long term!
  11. I wouldn't be too disappointed with Sparky. I mean Fulham spanked I think it was Sunderland 3-0 away from home yesterday. He has got them organised and playing. I think Fulhams squad, ground and etc are inferior to ours and he is looking good to finish in the top 10 with such a poor start too. I think he could do a good job here. Drawing is better then losing which this year we've done a lot of.
  12. How about André Villas Boas? I know Porto are losing at the moment but from the sounds of it they have had an amazing season so far! Part of me wants an established manager but then part of me wants to take the risk with someone new and upcoming.
  13. Anyone planning on going to Hamburg for the Haye fight?
  14. Id take Ancelotti any day man. The guy is class, would be a serious sign of intent if we could manage to bring him in if Chelsea sack him. Don't think they will though. He could bring Ray Wilkins with him.
  15. The more I think about it the more I think Moyes would be a great manager and that he would be interested in coming if he was promised a budget. As much as he cares about Everton he has to care about his own career too, I think with Randy backing him he has to believe he will be able to take the club further then he has Everton. I would like to see Moyes as manager but I would wanna see Houllier still involved in the club in some form. Not necessarily as a Director Of Football but he could be there purely as an adviser to the manager and the board and aid in the running of the club and expanding our brand world wide.
  16. I agree with you. I dont think we have sold out one game this season, not sure. We need attacking football because it has an effect on the crowd and atmosphere!
  17. Jol, Moyes, Hughes and Coyle. I would be happy with any of those. Seeing as Jol is available is tempting but its a tough decision to make. I pick which ever one who does not believe in zonal marking!
  18. Isn't Hughes contract up this summer? Wasn't it a one year deal with a view to extend? If that is the case has it been extended? I would like to see Hughes or Moyes as the manager. I don't want to see Houllier go though, I would like him to have some sort of job behind the scenes. Not necessarily a Director of Football but we need more football men higher up in the club and I think it could have a good effect on the club as a whole.
  19. Gutted to see Edge leave. Always liked him. I'll remember him for the legendary TLC matches! Edge & Christian Vs Hardy Boyz Vs Dudley Boys! The good ol' days!
  20. Very frustrating. I hope if he does come back to us we can actually get the best out of him. He has the talent but mentality wise he isnt right. We will have to see what happens. The thought of an in form Ireland behind Bent would be great. Doubt it will happen though.
  21. Looks like Young in the hole again I hope its 4-4-2 but doubt it
  22. A point would be a good result but to be honest I dunno what to expect, we could either get battered or beat them convincingly. We have the quality players, just a case of them showing up with the appropriate tactics! Every Friday evening i try to be optimistic!
  23. I would love Moyes. I think he has been decent in the transfer market and his players want to play for him. They believe in him. They had a pretty poor run but their fans and players weren't on his back like what has happened to GH. I would love to see Dunne and Collins get pissed and kick off with Moyes, I reckon he could knock them both out with just a stare. I really wanted things to work out with GH, but if we do stay up it will be because of the quality of players we have, not because of his management. I say in the summer we do everything possible to bring in Moyes.
