    I think when we have someone like Bradley in there pressing them and tackling them, he wil join in. Don't forget this is his 2nd game here and first full 90mins. He is used to winning in France, give it a few months and when he adjusts to how we need him to play he will do. Amazing buy, to think we spent £8m on NRC

    He was amazing last night. Only thing I could say. If we were sharper in defence for the first two goals and we had a better player next to him instead of Petrov it would have been a different game.

    :shock: a midfield trio of makoun, bradley and ireland would be unbelievable. thats if bradley is as good as i think he is and if ireland can get his head straight.

    Amazing player! Loved him today. I reckon if Ireland had his head right a midfield 3 of Ireland, Bradley and Makoun would rival any other midfield 3 in the country.

    Makouns passing was amazing, especially his one touch passing. We need a class midfielder next to him. I hope Bradley is the man

    Makoun was amazing today. What a signing by GH. We played quite well but Man Utd are Man Utd, undefeated all season and the leagues top scorers it was always going to be a hard task. We showed character to get a goal back but you can't stop a goal like Vidic's. I liked that even though we were 2 goals down GH still tried to get a result with his substitutions. We gave a decent account of ourselves despite losing. 6 points out of 9 from Man City, Wigan and Man Utd, not bad.

    we got bannan on the bench? id bring on bannan and nrc for downing/albrighton and petrov. bannan and makoun passing with nrc to protect the chuckle bros.

    goal at the beginning and end of the half. the frustrating thing is we havent even played that bad. if we play like this against any team outside of the top 5 we would beat em. makoun looks class

    City away would be difficult but it gives us the chance to right the last time we played em away. Confidence is building and with Makoun and Bradley settling in we could beat em. We can beat anyone on our day.

    If he can get a good run of games together he may be able to regain some of his old form which could be good for us next season. Either because we will use him or sell him. He hasn't had a run of games in ages in a settled side. I hope he plays well and comes back and earns a place in our team. If not atleast he is putting himself in the shop window. Also the reduction in wages us a good thing.

    mon imprinted himself on the squad. it will take time to change things, today we saw the few occasional attempts at through balls for darren bent. i see a bright future ahead. bent and young is going to be lethal! i think ged is doing a decent job, beat wigan, forget united and after that we got a decent run of games. ged can build support for himself and continue with the momentum. also credit for getting the defense solid again.

    We went through this before with Barry and Milner and I do feel sorry for Sunderland fans but if it is true they wouldn't open contract talks then what do you expect?

    Freidel Walker Dunne Cuellar Clark Young Makoun Delph Downing Agbonlahor Bent Just playing a basic 4-4-2 with these players would drive fear into a lot of teams. Squad already looks better with these 3 signings. Imagine if we did play that team, our bench would have Albrighton, Bannan, Heskey, Reo Coker, Petrov, Collins and etc. We are looking a lot better with these signings.

    I would love it if Bent scores the winner next week against City with the assist coming from Makoun/Walker.

    Who would have thought last summer that we would lose our manager, bring in GH, be in the relegation zone, go forever not signing anyone (besides Ireland) and then all of a sudden sign a £18-24million striker!
