  1. England U17s have reached the final of the Euros, our U21 leftback Rachel Maltby has started every game so far, and completeld the full ninety minutes in all but one, and then she played 78 minutes
  2. Patten has two years left on her deal, normally a good player, but in recent times have noticed a few too many passes straight to the oppositon, when normally bringing the ball out from defence is her strength. I imagine we will bring in at least one more central defender, maybe two, depending on whether Turner gets a new deal or not, also might depend on where we use Lucy Parker. Corsie I would have thought will be more of a back-up player next season.
  3. Well he said on numerous occassions that he could leave, or maybe was once, but he definitely said it, and amounts to the same thing as there wouldn't be the possibility of leaving without Emery's blessing. Of course since Moreno hasn't looked back to his old self and Digne has done well, so maybe now would more prefer to keep Digne, I don't know, I guess which one of them will attract offers will also dictate things
  4. I imagine a lot of the recruitment for next season is already sorted behind the scenes, but playing in UEFA Youth League might allow us to attract a few more
  5. Emery was prepared to let him go in January, this was stated several times in his press conferences. I think it's likely that either he or Moreno will depart in the upcoming summer transfer window with a younger replacement coming in, we've been linked to Hume and Loko
  6. I thought a clickbait site must have linked him with a move away given the comments but looking back a few pages and it's Villa fans causing the speculation. Of course we aren't going to sell one of our best and most important players after reaching the Champions league, it's not just about the money, but the message that such an action would send out, Sawiris and Edens can't go like that Only way it could possibly happen is if the player himself forced a move but he only signed a new conctract in October, so pretty sure he's not in the mind to do that, and doesn't seem the type anyway regardless of when he signed a new deal At that awards thing Mings was also next to Watkins with a glum face too, so did Hause look rather pensive in one moment, the seconds later he was all smiles, Anna Patten from the women's team who is big Arsenal fan and fomer player was going crazy doing a dancewhilst Manchester City were winning in the background 'We did it my bro'
  7. Our U21s just beat Racing Club Warwick 9-0 in the Birmingham Senior Cup Final, Racing Club Warwick beat these 2-0 in one of the earlier rounds Makes me pause for thought when I see their fans on one hand talking about walking the league next season and breaking records, but then also saying that it will be a good chance to promote from their U21s, they've done well at their level, but have to remember that that level is the Development League, also should ask themselves if they'd have stayed up, how many of their U21s would get loan moves to League One, my guess would be not many if any at all
  8. I wasn't expecting to win given how close some of the previous games have been and presumably Racing Warwick are a tougher opponent than we had previously faced given how well they had done up until this point, they actually beat small heath U21s 2-0 in one of the previous rounds, and they're almost thirty points ahead of Coventry U21s in the development league But on the night we were far far superior and seems an understatment, I think we could have won by a bigger margin if we had wanted to, but despite that I though in isolated moments that Racing Warwick showed some play and can see why they've done well at their level 9-0 biggest victory in the final since the competition began back in 1876 been played every year since then except for pauses for the two world wars and covid-19
  9. You sound like someone who has never watched either play, because most of that is completely untrue.
  10. Even Leeds fans don't rate Summerville that highly and talk about how he was easily nullified at Premier League level. Jonathan Rowe's all round game is much much better, and he has bigger potential, and I'm pretty sure we will see that played out
  11. Surely Corsie new contract suggests we've got a manager lined up for next season as wouldn't make sense to give her a contract and then appoint someone who might not want her If so suggests to me someone who has already worked with Corsie, as wouldn't really be an obvious choice to give her another year, I had kind of taken it for granted she would be leaving First name that comes to mind is Remi Allen, she's played with Amy Rodriguez who is now a manager, and Laura Harvey was her manager at Utah Royals, I think that would be a coup for us, so not sure if realistic, although Tom Garry who is realiable said the job would attract high level candidates, there's also Carla Ward herself of course, but am presuming she' hasn't had a change of mind
  12. Most important thing is to win the thing if we do we'll play a few top teams and have to beat them on the way
  13. Manager Carla Ward said: “Rachel is someone I’d previously worked with before her arrival at Aston Villa, and she has become a prominent figure within the playing squad ever since she joined us a couple of seasons ago. Her experience and leadership has played a hugely important part in our success in recent years and that will remain invaluable in 2024/25.” Seems strange to have a quote like that from a departing manager
