Could we attract Huntelaar and Sneijder, i dont think so. I think what we are being linked to now will take us to a certain point then we can look at those two and say yes we can realisticaly go for you now, but Martin may surprise me and land one of 'em.

If we sign Gordon,NRC,Bellamy,Taylor and Jagielka, we would have a massive british contingent in our squad but i also expect us to sign non-british players as well(sneijder,van der vaart).It is interesting to see that Gordon,Jags and NRC are the captains of their respective clubs.Taylor also captained portsmouth some time this season i believe.If we managed to get all theses players we'll have a team full of leaders.On wiki,it says that Jags can run 100m in 10.32 seconds,making him one of the fastest defenders in the league faster than rio and terry.Interesting.......

My Maths that's adds up to about £39M

for such a huge investment the team just wouldnt look a lot stonger

Boruc £6mil, Luke Young £2mil, Sneijder £12mil, Huntelaar £15mil. (Jagielka or Taylor as utility player £5mil)

That's £40 mil spent and would make us look a lot stronger imo.

Would rather have Bent at that price or cheaper.

i understand signing british and im pleased that we could be signing Matty Taylor from Portsmouth.

some of the links i have seen recently certainly i question whether there world class signings.

Why? :roll: , why do people think that if any other side shows an interest the player won't come to us?, it was the same with Ashley Young, everyone thought he was "going to spurs" and we all know how that turned out,.

People 'fear' Spurs and Toon on this board, (they won't admit it but they do), it's shown especially with Toon with the thread in the off topic section.

If we're in for Reo-coker, he'll come to us. Not Newcastle or Spurs.

Completely agree, it's sickening the way people big those clubs up, i for one feel we shouldn't fear ANYONE in this league let alone clubs outside the top four, Nigel isn't stupid, he'll see where this club is heading and want to be a part of it.

Newcastle have nothing on us - I know that villa are a much better club and have a better future.

Spurs on the other hand are looking damn right good for next season. I for one think that they will be mixing it up with the top 4 (along with us). Do I fear them, NO!!!! I'm trying to give a non-bias opinion.

I totally agree - even though WHU will bring in some players in the summer, there is still something rotten within the club.

WHU are a **** joke, they are the joke of them ! the illegal migrant kept them up and the lousy FA who are so coward like just gave them a fine.

What i think will happen is they,l dock them three points they,l still stay up and then the FA can say well we did what u asked what else more do u want ?

NRC's agent has said on SSN that it's ridiculous to say he wants stay in London but wouldn't say where he is going. I dunno why, but I got a fut feeling he's ours already.

Did anyone see his MOTD interview after the Manure game? He was off then. He was nailed on as not being there next season. I just feel he's a Villa player. Dunno why but his interview reminded me of when Dean Saunders was asked after his last game whether he'd play for redscouse again. I saw his t-shirt under his top was claret and blue and knew he was ours. I got the same feeling about NRC. If so wow he'll be **** great for us, spesh once MON get's his man management and motivational skills on the lad. Shit he'll feel like a world beater... though of course won't play for England cos Coco the Clown is in charge.

1) he seems to be a cockney lad and will want to say in london... so first option is Spurs

2) If not Spurs, then I think the toons will be his second option

3) I've not done my research but, how many players have been lured away from Central London to the midlands?

IMO - he'll go to Spurs

Of course it's your opinion, i just don't think it has any substance as only him and his Agent will know where he's heading, i'd rather believe that our club can attract such a player despite competition.

So if Newcastle have "nothing on us" why do you insist that Nigel would choose them over us?, your contradicting yourself. i believe Spurs are overrated, and we'll be the ones to prove that next season.

Yes, it was said we asked West ham to name their price and that Mon would do everything he could to get him, i hope it's true.

there is absolutely no subtance in this, no suggestion that we really are interested. I think it is the press putting 2 and 2 together.

Also, i don't like Reo-Coker's attitude. He doesn't seem to care, he complains almost constantly and he is always being booked. I hope we don't sign him. If he costs £8m i will scream.

There is only one stat that they can say makes them currently bigger than us and that is their 52000 crowd as opposed to our max of 42500, but that will be put right in the next couple of years when our magnificent new north stand is built.
