Assistance in finding a song

Jon

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if any of you knowledgeable VT-ers can help me at all.

I heard a song a couple of years ago on 6 Music. It was from a Peel Session, and was by a band called Melys. The song was a cover of 'Hey, that's no way to say goodbye' by Leonard Cohen.

I've searched and searched, but can't find it anywhere to either buy or download. It is on a certain Peel session compilation, somewhere. The details I can find online are that is was recorded for John Peel on 19th Dec 1999.

Any help appreciated guys!

I recall it, I liked Melys for a period. I used to have it on tape but that has been dumped. If it made it into the festive 50, I have it. I still have every festive 50.

Edit. It never made it into the festive 50.

Narrow it down a bit - Techno, House, Metal, Disco?

Housey as I recall. The sort of stuff yer big-but-cool nightclubs would have been playing in 2003. It was in Buenos Aires (where I was touristing around), if that helps. The words were uttered rather than sung, by a male voice.

I'm cooking pancakes (we forgot yesterday), doing the dishes and watching the Man U/Madrid match.

House music isn't my thing, but will investigate later.

If you'll excuse me there's a colander.that requires attention.
