Just as many of the so-called "Americanisms" used to be in British English, but faded away over here. Of course, both cultures have produced some pretty horrible neologisms since then. It's time someone stepped up to the plate and called time out. I hear ya. We need to block these phrases. Period. They've passed their expiration date.
