How do we approach Tuesday's match? I think we could play like we did in the second half today again and quite easily not concede for the whole match. But then again, it's going to be a full-house at VP and i'm sure things could get very nervy.
I certainly wouldn't like to be the manager.
It was a difficult call for the manager. At HT, 1-0 up, do you sit back and try to take a one goal advantage to VP? Or do you continue to try and score goals and kill the tie off, with the risk of conceding or even losing the match?
Clearly we opted to shut them out, and we did it perfectly.
Is it sold out now? They were supposed to be on general sale now but I only see a button for season ticket holders to purchase their tickets.
Edit: 5pm today. Can't read properly.
Players I don't want to see starting: Terry, Grealish, Snodgrass, Hourihane, Grabban.
An injury to any of them would severely damage our playoff hopes. Give some game time to Lansbury, Onomah, Hogan, Kodjia.
In many ways that performance and result gives us a lot of confidence going into the playoffs. We know that if a team are intent on parking the bus, we can stay patient and eventually break them down.
Very pleasing.
Wonder if the players were watching the Cardiff game last night. Surely they should have been coming out to this match absolutely pumped to close the gap. Nope.
I reckon we play the most amount of crosses in the league. With Hogan/Grabban up front. Completely ineffective - I wish we would learn how to play through the middle with Grealish at the heart of everything.
