  1. Dont ask such difficult questions - I did say might Given that the performance pre xmas were so pathetic its no ringing endorsement but the win at Chelsea the 2nd half performances against Wolves and QPR and the First half against Arsenal and Newcastle have at least shown signs that we dont always set out for 0-0 and in patches we have played some very good football. At the moment AM does not have the players or the squad to finish much higher than we are presently or to perform consistently. I would also suggest that AM appears just as frustrated as some of us supporters given his touchline antics. Maybe he needs the summer to sort the issues out and bring in his own kind of players
  2. Again not defending AM - but I don't think he has the players to get us much above 10th - his record in transfer market - means he is highly unlikley to get them either.
  3. I'm not one for designer labels so couldn't careless who supplies our kit as long as it looks the part. What I am more impressed with is that Macron has shown their desire to want us and have done so with a rather healthy cheque. Now Macron may not be to everyone' liking but at least we will be a big fish in a small pond, they will be doing everything in their powers to impress, delivery time, design and quality everything in fact that Nike couldn't give two shits about when it came too 'little old Villa' I've got a feeling you're all going to be pleasantly surprised
  4. About time the club took a pro active approach. Giving an up and coming company a chance is good work in my book. At least we haven't insisted on premiership experience cuz look who that got us.
  5. Lacking in belief and fight - Aren't we the team that came from behind to beat Chelsea, came from behind to beat wolves, came from behind to draw with QPR whilst half our own supporters were booing individuals. Maybe if you made that statement pre New year it would have had some credibility
  6. But lack of opitions on the bench killed us today. for me ireland was shite in the first half and should have come off regardless of injury or attitude. zog was doin chuff all anyway in the second half so did those change really decide the game. quite possibly the answer is yes but in truth its the lack of quality and depth of our squad that cost us the result today. AM simply replaced under performing players with second eate players hardly a recipe for success Unless he or any other manager is give the funds to completely overhaul the squad we are in for a pretty bad few years and who knows where that will end re in for

  8. Well for me Ireland was well below the standards that he has set in the last month or so
  9. 2nd half v qpr and 1st half today has been some of the best football we have witnessed in years
  10. It'd be absolutely fantastic to have terracing back at VP, seats are a proven liability to your legs whenever we score, safe standing is surely going to involve a lot less pain!
  11. I cant understand to the objections for safe standing. Its been proven to work. Personally I wouldn't be that bothered whether I had a seat or was in a safe standing area after all its not to different to being at an away game. At the end of the day it will be nothing like the old terracing - thats where the real fun happened but unfortunately I don't think they will ever allow the modern ground to have terracing and thus you will never create the atmosphere that we had in those day
  12. What a joke sitting on a coach outside bristol waiting for a police escirt. **** me is it 1985
  13. Can someone please tell the police this isnt 1985. What is goin on. waiting for a police escort?
  14. Are we going for a bit of retro terrace chanting tomorrow: DE DE DE DE, DE DE DE DE, DE DE DE DE DE DE OH
  15. I dont expect too see strongest side as I can see both Gabby and Bent being rested and Heskey and Delboy upfront. Collins has reportedly being carrying an injury so I expect him to sit this one out Guzan Hutton Dunne Clarke Warnock Alby Bannan Herd Ireland Heskey Delfon
  16. Extremely ghey but i got dragged along to see hairspray and was supprisingly entertained. certainly more entertaining than mr mcleishs football teams
  17. Come on lets not get to carried away. yes he was excellent today but 1 performance in 18 months doesnt get me too excited. Hopefully i can come back on here in May after he has produced some consistency and then we can start tovtalk about his qualities
  18. Yes sang it all game but do you think i can remember the tune now. not a chance. At least i've remembered the words :-)
  19. minimum alloxation for a boxing day fixture only 45 minutes up the motorway. UNBELIEVEABLE
  20. I'm hoping the guys who sat next to me against Liverpool are coming again. We had a great time chatting saved me having to watch the bollox on the pitch
  21. I honestly don't believe AM sends the team out not to win. No professional footballer or manager would ever do that. I just believe that he his totally incompetent and doesnt have the ability to get the team playing with any attacking instinct whatsoever. I have seen nothing in any of our performances that suggests that we are capable of putting any sort of run together. Unfortunately whilst we sit in 10th place any demos, banners or any AM songs would be seen as pathetic and will only be ignored by the board. By the time we finely drop into the relegation zone it will be too late and the board wont have the opportunity to launch a £24 million rescue package like they did last year. Its gonna be fly by the seat of your pants and pray its not a crash landing
  22. No but lambert has a squad with less talent than most inc ours but he sends his team out with ambition and motivation something we can only admire from a far
  23. Arsenal to stroll into a 3 goal lead before deciding to pass us to death in the 2nd half whilst no of our players get out our own half other than to chase clearances for dunne and collins. Retire to the pub and plan where to go before the stoke game and decide what colours our banner will be
