  1. One thing I'm quite conscious about is breaking the law too much. I've done quite a lot of good deeds and I don't want to ruin my honour - but in doing that I'm finding myself being very/ too careful! What crimes can you still do but avoid your honour going down? Killing animals doesn't really matter (maybe killing a town's dog or horse would), what about random people out and about? Can you kill then if other people aren't around to witness it? I've been playing it all weekend and I still haven't got the lasso! I figured it would have something to do with "breaking horses" (not that I know what that means yet :winkold:..) so last night I saved it in the town with the farm and when I get back from work Today, hopefully, I'll get a lasso!!! I want one now because I've caught a bunch of bounties, and now they're going up in value.. and I'd rather catch them alive.
  2. I didn't like the idea of waiting a few days for it to be posted so I went to Argos in Merry Hill on Saturday! I must have played it for about 9+ hours already!
  3. I might be going mad.. but I'm sure I saw a post from MM where he said to not be suprised if we see Young moving into the middle. Interesting point IF it was said.. (I'm feeling a bit confused.. I'm sure I saw it).. It'd solve the problem of having two wingers who both prefer playing on the left, it'd also be good for Ash because he has the ability to get a yard ahead of someone and then bang a shot in - which I could see him doing if he was playing further forward. With a possible midfield/ forward line of: --------------------- Gabby ----------------- ------------- Young ------------------------- Downing -- Petrov -- Milner -- Albrighton (But it's more square pegs in round holes)
  4. And your point is? Milner was an average Prem player at Newcastle wasnt he? Milner had scored goals at the age of 16/17 against top premier league clubs.
  5. I think Ireland would be a good (and realistic) replacement. But he doesn't have the work rate of Milner - which has almost acted like a 13th player for Villa (after the Holte being the 12th ) O'Hara has looked decent at times but I don't think he's anywhere near the quality of Milner.
  6. Ok i will put it like this. Milner signs for £30m, MON is given the money to spend from his sale. MON signs someone who is equel if not better for £20m (which could easily be done, the only reason Milner is going to go for any where near £30m is because we are holding MC to ransom cause we know they have loads of cash) and has £10m left over. So with an equel replacement and £10m change, i would say that its FACT we would be in a better position. OR - We get a replacement, for example Stephen Ireland, who flops in Villa colours and can't regain his form from 2 years ago. With the other money from the transfer we buy 2 players. Similar to the signings of NRC and Davies.. Two players who either fall out with the manager/ are inconsistent/ are overrated. If that happened then we'd be wishing we'd kept Milner, I'm sure.
  7. Very easy to say that when youre not in the situation, many fans dont earn the money these footballers do but its all relevant, its what theyre used to and its not different than someone on 35k a year then being offered 60k elsewhere to do the same job. Why shouldnt he go and do the same job elsewhere for more money if its not a step backwards in footballing terms. We as fans find it hard to understand as most of us would love to play at that level and most would do it for a percent of what they do, but they are used to it and fair play to them. Plus if Milner moved his integrity would still be in tact. No-where in my post do I mention Milner. I'm not on about our specific Villa-related situation. I'm on about my opinion that I wouldn't want Villa to have a bottomless pit of money because I believe it's killing football. Also - to do with the Milner situation. If his head has been turned by money, then fine. But if he goes to City and, like this year, they DON'T get into the Champions League (plus the fact that he could end up playing a lot less than he has this year) then how happy will he feel next summer? Yes, he'll have loads and loads of money.. But will that make up for the fact that he's not made the Champs League, that he's in a team of superstars competing for a starting place, that he could have gone down in the England Manager's estimations (because of a possible lack of game time), that he could be in a team that has a new manager if the current one doesn't produce results?
  8. paulanddonya - I think it's meant to be somewhere in between Spurs and Everton's deals. Somewhere between £3m-£8m a year.
  9. I can honestly say that I wouldn't want us to have all of City's money. How is that hard to believe? It's a bit naive to think that everyone is motivated by money. If I was a footballer I'd be motivated by playing football. Yes, maybe I'd be motivated at the thought that City COULD be playing Champs League football in 2012. But I wouldn't move for the money. It's the football equivalent of selling out if you only move for the money (or money is the deciding factor). Some people have integrity, others don't. Simple as.
  10. I've just seen this on the OS from Heskey.. "What happened was I tried to turn the ball around the corner and fell backwards on to him."
  11. Damn! I've just thought of a chant that we could have used against the Blues!.. For the Avril Lavigne fans out there.. Hey Hey, Chucho, You play like my girlfriend, :winkold:
  12. Is that definate? Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Arsenal had "Fly Emirates" but the company is just called "Emirates" ?
  13. Do they have a nice logo? (come on.. that's all we really care about! lol)
  14. That's a shame Demetri, I quote like their logo
  15. Fair enough wiggyrichard. To me, he just seems to be one of those players that used to be really good & that is coming to the end of his career, therefore will probably get a cushty transfer to a big club to be an impact sub or something. But I suppose if he's hoping to play in the next international competition then he might go somewhere to re-ignite the latter stages of his career.
  16. Or Viera at Man City.. I think that Ballack could end up at Real, just to have a few relaxing years in the sun to see out his career.
  17. Whether we keep Milner or not. I'd love us to try and Arsenal-esque set-up. Buy a strong, tall, defensive midfielder and have two attacking centre midfielders in front of him.. -------------------- Gabby -------------------- Young ------------------------------- Downing ---------- Boussoufa ----- Milner ------------- -------------------- Big DM -------------------- With the option to bring Delph into the position of Milner/ Boussoufa throughout the season. And then there's always the option of switching to a 4-4-2 for the ever-needed "Plan B"
  18. Would quite like to see Belletti at VP, as much for his versatility to play defensive midfielder if required when Stan is inevitably **** after 60 minutes each week......I think Fulham might also have got a good'un in M'bokani from Std Liege......looks powerful with a good scoring record and £8m seems reasonable enough.... I'd like us to get Belletti. He has experience at the highest level and could fill one of the gaps in our team for free (plus, possibly modest, wages). I hope we take advantage of getting a few free players. Then the money raised from selling Sidwell, Luke Young, Beye, Shorey etc could be used to spend on positions that we need to strenthen.
  19. What about Belletti? Anyone think he could do at job at Villa. Rightback, prem experience, released on a free...
  20. What I spotted was that on the top horizontal line of the "F", there seems to be a bit of dark shading in the middle which joins up with a crease in the shirt (if you look directly above the "F"). It's pretty small (and proves I'm a geek) but I could see this being a mock up of the shirt done by the club.
  21. I hope that is the real 3rd shirt, maybe it'll shoot down the people who seem to moan at VTers who simply repeat rumours :? It's quite a simple design. It doesn't look amazing on the 3rd kit but I recon it'd look half decent on the home kit. Maybe it'd be white writing on the claret background, could look ok
  22. He sat out training because he had a temperature.. Well I guess we've discovered his one weakness.. heat.
  23. Totally agree, and you're probably right with those figures! I'd like to think if we were to sell Gabby for £22m, then we could replace him with much better for the same cost. Although, i don't know anyone who to replace him with, so my argument is pretty stupid really Only as stupid as this topic... :winkold: ... which I actually enjoy! For £22m we could probably buy Radamel Falcao lol
