  1. NO. You genuinely think Gomes is better than Friedel though, don't you? you're mad. btw, after reading your second answer it tells me you rely too much on Gomes because your defence isn't very good. What would happen if Gomes didn't make all those saves? To put it blunt we could have Scott Carson back in goal and our defence would still be better than tiny tots.
  2. You do realise that 1. If it wasn't for us you wouldn't have the 2nd best defence, we've had the best defence consistently this season, it took a meltdown from us to not be the best anymore. 2. By making the most saves it shows how poor your defence is. 3. Why does it surprise me that a tiny tot fan even has the nerve to say that Gomes is better than Friedel just because he's improved from last season? When Gomes is considered one of the best goalkeepers the Premier League has ever seen and is still playing at an exceptional high-level at the age of 39 then you can come back to me and we'll talk. Right now (apart from deluded tiny tots fans) people see Gomes as an improved goalkeeper from last season who makes good reaction saves. Nothing more, nothing less.
  3. I don't follow... so Gomes is better than one of the best goalkeepers the Premier League has ever seen just because he's mastered on learning how to catch a football? Friedel isn't even in his prime anymore and he is 39 and is still better than Gomes... lol.
  4. You shouldn't comment on formations if you weren't watching the match, should you? We started with 4-5-1. We started the 2nd half, trailing 2-1, and switched to 4-4-2 in an attempt to get a point, or more. Now whats that you said about intelligent? Yeah... exactly, we went 4-4-2 after half-time and looked what happened? 4-5-1 was working ok so switching to 4-4-2 was a bad idea because we then went on to concede 6 goals. you kinda defeated your own purpose of making a point...
  5. oh deary me... I really wasn't that bothered today and knew we'd probably get beaten so didn't really keep track of the match until we got level at 1-1. Pathetic to go on from then and concede 6 more goals... indescribable really how we did it and the blindman needs to understand you won't get much success at Chavski playing freely with a 4-4-2... only God knows why he didn't go 4-5-1 playing for the draw which would of been more intelligent. I just don't understand why our players or manager don't seem motivated at the prize of playing Champions League football. We would only be 2 points off spuds if we won those two easy home games (and still losing to chelsea); why do we **** bottle it?! if we don't beat Bolton (ANOTHER shit team we'll probably drop points to) I think I will lose all hope of 4th and will start questioning what the hell MON is doing. oh well... as I said before "It can't get any worse". sort it out o'neill.
  6. How long is it going to be when candleface gets locked up after after his hearing in court. This is spuds, even though they look in control now they'll still find a way to **** it up as always; my prediction pattern of how us, Liverpool, City and the tiny tots do after we go through a slump is still ticking correctly. the tiny tots are on a good run now which will end soon whilst us and Liverpool will start to pick up form with City being a bit inconsistent and we'll finish the season strongly whilst tiny tots will end the season in not so good form.
  7. Well, this feels familiar... a bit like last season perhaps? I don't understand why we've turned into a bunch of bottlers ala spuds... why are we **** up so bad at this vital stage against shit teams at home? MON hasn't taken any initative again and we're throwing away a great oppotunity, just look at all the points we've dropped at home to **** shit teams... those dropped points have caught up with us now but yet we still keep dropping points to shit teams! My only postives are that we can't get any worse, Carew is in great form being really impressive (Heskey can get lost) and we also seem to bounce back pretty well after a slump. There's 24 points to play for from now on in, if we wan't to finish 4th WE CAN ONLY AFFORD TO DROP 6 POINTS AT THE MAXIMUM.
  8. It's always interesting to see opposing defenders bring down Gabby in the box rather than just let him shoot... and probably miss. Remember guys, this isn't the first time Vidic has done this... and got away with it; he did it last season at home and got away with a penalty being given and from being sent off. Infact, it wouldn't actually surprise me if Dowd officiated that match too... It just wasn't not sending off Vidic which rattled my cage... hilariously a few minutes later he booked Collins and Cuellar for nothing fouls and was consistently keeping a blind eye to every foul Utd players were committing until the 2nd half when he eventually book (you guessed it) Vidic. It's unfortunate that again a game can't be officated correctly in a Cup Final because our current crop of shit referees can't get basic decisions right, Phil Dowd is just an example really of how bad the referees in this country are, I'd like to think the FA take the approach and employ Spanish referees who don't take any shit and officate games correctly even if they go a bit OTT with the red cards sometimes.
  9. Glaston's just a wind up... I've learnt to ignore him. I also saw him saying Gomes is better than Friedel, Villa's defence isn't even comparable to Spurs 1st choice defence with King and Woodgate (even though we've got the best defence in the league wtf?) and that on current form Huddlestone is better than Milner. With all these claims he makes you would of thought Spurs would be some sort of big club who were always finishing in the top 4 and playing in Champions League... oh wait.
  10. Dowd was a **** DISGRACE. I found it hilarious how he didn't he even book that pyscho Serb at the least when he brought down Gabby but was booking Collins and Cuellar just a few minutes later for nothing fouls. Not sending off Vidic proved to be a MATCH CHANGING DECISION and just as it normally does, it worked in the cheating mancs favour. I'm quite confident we would of won the match if Vidic had should of been rightly sent off... I know it was very early on in the game and that it might have spoilt the game etc... but rules are rules and if Vidic did the same thing 10 minutes later he would of been sent off. Not just that too; Dowd wasn't booking any manc players when they were constantly comitting fouls but didn't mind booking all our players. btw I knew I was right now when I told myself and others we should have gone 4-5-1... we weren't competitive enough in midfield and it was evident in the 2nd half... you're always going to be taking a risk if you play 4-4-2 against a great team. So yeah, Martin got his tactics wrong again. oh yeah, I THINK IT'S SO **** OBVIOUS NOW WE NEED TO BUY A TOP STRIKER FROM OUTSIDE BRITAIN... WAKE UP MARTIN lol. P.S WHY THE **** DID MARTIN NOT TAKE OFF PETROV WHEN HE WAS LOOKING TIRED? HE NEVER TAKES OFF PETROV. Should of put Delph on. Phil Dowd = Man Utd Man of the match.
  11. It still hasn't sunken in I'm going to Wembley tomorrow to see us playing in the final... I'm getting quite nervous now lol. MR Fuguson has said he might rest Rooney... not so sure about that, I think we all know our line-up except for who will be the 'keeper. I really do think we should go with Friedel despite Guzan has been playing in every round; it may sound harsh but if we want to win tomorrow we've got to have our BEST 11 playing because this final is so important. It's gonna be a really tight game I think... just the one goal in it (in our favour hopefully), I think Heskey might score the winner haha.
  12. OK whatever... I'm just going by that ESPN poll, what professional footballers were saying and what football pundits were saying and more thought the Colts would win just like more people WANTED the Saints to win but more people THOUGHT the Colts would win.
  13. Ever heard the phrase "Live and let live"? Why are non-believers so obsessed about getting themselves worked up over something they do not believe in? That makes no sense and you know it. Who's bothering you... how it is it effecting you... are you doing to go on a dawkins rant saying non-believers are oppressed haha. My problem with non-believers is how they swagger around genuienly thinking they're 'right' and that anyone who is Religious is 'uneducated' or wrong etc... Do you know how disrespectful, ignorant and arrogant that is? I don't like to lump everyone into one group, but hardcore non-believers have a horrible and disrespectful attitude towards people believing in God taking some sort of sad pride in bashing and abusive towards religion... how often do you see Religious people doing the same to non-believers? Never, live and let live my friend... as you say no-one is making you do anything. And I know this message-board seems to be a breeding ground for the 'hardcore non-believers' because we know that in reality it's a bit different... everyone who I know Religious or non-Religious does thinking there is a supreme being looking over us and I've honestly never come across a 'hardcore non-believer' because in reality there's only a few who like to think they're 'intelligent, amazing etc...'; it's funny how most non-believers are behind their keyboard expressing their views rather than out in public, but hey, I guess all the 'hardcore non-believers' on this forum still get married in Churches, get buried in Churches, get their kids Christened, celebrate the birth of Christ (Christmas) and what not... so much for sticking by your 'beliefs' of being an atheist... I have my beliefs and stick to them firmly. So yeah... I'm tired, it's nearly 6am I feel what I've just wrote is probably pointless because peeps will be quoting me when I won't be there to answer but all I can say is "Lets agree to disagree" because we're just going to go round and round in circles getting into another one of these arguments which I've been in too many on here when I probably shouldn't have. God bless and peace.
  14. I can assure you it certainly was not 50-50 (everyone wanted the Saints to win... but it was more with the heart, not the head. Their head told them Colts would win, their hearts told them Saints would win); there's actually this poll on ESPN where it shows only 4 states (New England, MS, LA) were confident Saints would win but I can't find the link but here's a link to a Colts forum ------> http://forum.colts.com/showthread.php?53795-Boy-they-sure-do-hate-us-in-New-England That's why I couldn't believe how many thought the Colts would win (they also asked about 20 NFL players on Sky Sports and only 4 went for Saints), too many people like Jay Mariotti were overrating the Colts and underrating the Saints... I went with my head because I was confident that the Saints would would win the Superbowl and was just not buying into the Manning hype etc... If we're talking about percentages I'd say most of America was behind the Saints because most wanted the Saints to win (underdog, Katrina, first Super Bowl etc...), but if we're talking about how many thought the Saints would win the percentage has decreased rapidly. P.S. God is great... don't fight the truth :winkold:
  15. This whole 'proving God' thing is getting tedious... Jesus is God's son, isn't that enough evidence? :winkhold: it's what you believe in; I personally look at my relationship with God like this and this whole 'proving-disproving' thing: If I am correct about God, then I have a wonderful future to look forward to, but you do not. If you are correct, then I will not be any worse off than you in the future. Based on these two possible outcomes for my future, I choose to believe in God and learn what I must do in order to inherit eternal life. Makes good sense to me. I'm better off really because I've got nothing to lose either way and I'm at an advantage of being with God. If you could have anyone on your side I'd pick God :winkold: That's my outlook on it anyway... people shouldn't be so bothered about other people if they believe in God... why waste your time arguing about something you don't think exists? It's completely pointless and I never understand why non-believers waste so much time arguing about it... do you think you're choosing Christianity as an easy target (2.5 billion Christians in the world...)? I wonder why you never attack Islam about their 'beliefs'...
  16. "Boring boring Villa" - **** off you cockney shitheads, seeing as you were the HOME team, the onus was really more on you to score! I think it should be "Boring boring Spurs" because we scored at Villa Park against spuds... they couldn't do it against us at their ground.
  17. WHO DAT!!!!!! Brees: "GOD is great"... he certainly is; Brees was getting better and better as the game went on, he may only be a little guy for a QB but he's been incredible for the Saints... major props goes to him. Oh, I'm in such a delightful mood... everyone was writing off the Saints saying the Colts would win (just like Villa vs Man U 1994 league cup final), I think I must of only been one of the few who was genuinely confident the Saints would win! The Saints defence took the piss outa the Colts... they all talk about how Manning always has his special 'gameplan' in the 2nd half... his gameplan went to ruins... the turnover in the 4th was AMAZING! I'm soooo happy, New England will be happy... ****, I think the whole of the States is happy the Saints won and I'm sure Mardi Gras will be starting tonight haha! Around the Horn on Monday will be hilarious to see the look on Jay Mariotti's face lol.
  18. As long as either France or Ireland win I will be happy... Scotland will probably finish bottom of the pile as usual lol.
  19. I heard they took 1800. That's pretty good for sha.
  20. Excellent from Milner (as usual) and a nice finish from Delph. That will teach those Brighton rocket polishers for trying to injure our players.
  21. Meh, annoying that Brighton equalised... hopefully we start taking it a bit more seriously in the second-half and maybe bring on a couple of the 'big guns'.
  22. My opinion of small heath has changed now. Why should I hate them and be so bitter, what have I got to be jealous about of that club or their fans? I haven't, exactly. I can understand why their fans are so bitter and jealous towards us but I'm now adopting a different attitude, just like Man United and Arsenal fans, they don't give much of shit about their noisey neighbours because in the grand scheme of things they mean nothing to them because they know they're superior and they only give a shit about them is when they play them.
  23. He also FAILED at Blackburn and in the prem a few years ago.
  24. Now seriously this baffles me. Can it simply, i mean really simply, just get through your head the idea that killing animals for food is the natural order of things and thus acceptable. Filling them full of drugs to battle diseases we give them is not, i repeat not, natural and to me it is simply a step to far. BTW, the condescending tone in your posts is wank. Awh, I'm sorry my condescending tone in my posts are 'wank' Simple question: why don't you just be a veggie then, that's natural too you know. Anyone could go vegetarian if they wanted too and could live life perfectly fine. So, what it your views on people killing animals for their fur or skin? That can be deemed natural too if it's your only source of clothing. Why isn't it natural to test animals if you eat them? That's where the contradiction lies chap and if testing on animals can potentially save human lives I am not sure how you can be against animal testing.
