So we can spend around 30M without breaking FFP? Out of interest, all those clubs that got fined for breaking the rules. Did they slightly go over or blow the rules out the water? Uefa rules are a loss of 37m over 3 seasons you would need to deduct the losses we have made in previous years from 37m the factor around 20m spending that could be made available if FFP didn't exist because that is what we could spend so if we had lost 37m exactly over previous seasons it would be 20m if 27 it would be 30 if the owner wanted to chip his own money in which he won't equally if it were 47m we would have 10m. Got it?

Don't forget the club breaks even spending around 20m so it doesn't have to mean a new owner is paying

What I am hoping for (realistically) is that the club is streamlined off the field to save money, we sell naming rights the the ground/training ground, get sponsors for whatever companies will pay us for and funds are injected into the club for running costs at 10m a season over break even point to comply with FFP. That's the money side. On the playing side I want us to buy free transfers over the age of 25 only and buy players under 25 (resale value) I want us to bring in the best coaches and scouts and purchase youngsters much like arsenal do to move forward

Yes at around the figure of spending 20m this year on players/wages. I have no idea what our budget is.......... I do know 3.3m x 22 is 72.6m and that is if we just pay the average wage to our squad never mind buying players and all the running costs. The whole situation stinks.

I simply think a lot of fans don't realise the limitations of FFP, that we have been making losses until this season and the difference in revenue for not being in the CL, and small merchandising/sponsorship revenue. It can only change two ways... 1. Someone comes in with stupid wealth aka PSG doesn't care about the fines gets all the big players in sponsorship and merchandising follows - He then pays the massive fines and eventually is ffp compliant. That is a massive ask and isn't going to happen. 2. We build from the ground up. Spend minimal amounts on players and wages and 'buy' youth at the ages of say 14 and up, get some of the best scouts around blood them to sell to other clubs and hopefully become a big club 10 or 15 years down the line. More likely but very difficult to do. For me the boat was missed to organically grow under Ellis and the boat to force growth through spending was missed under Lerner.

I wouldn't sell Vlaar unless that figure was approaching 10m it just isn't worth the risk even if he doesn't re-sign.

We were making a loss momo when spending 20m a year the new tv money brings us to break even spending the same budget we have had over Lamberts time. Doubtless there is probably some FFP factors at play here and what really shocked me was the average wage of a PL player now is now 60 to 65k a week....... seriously? WTF!
