  1. I seen an article last night saying $3 billion Meh that only about 1.8 billion pounds
  2. First thing I want to know is what he is worth before moving to the next question.
  3. How much is he worth?? He isn't even listed on Forbes.
  4. I guess their obvious goal would be to make a profit, but they partially own some top young talent that would improve us, Leandro Damiao and Luc Castagnios would be more than welcome to join Villa for example. Remember this all stems from Tevfik Eren apparently wanting to buy a club in the Premier League, I'm just stringing together the pieces of info regarding him and the sports arm of the Doyen Group that he financially backs/owns. The only profit possible is when they sell Not necessarily. There are two other profits streams available - 1) The good one. We win things, we earn prize money, we sell more merchandise. Profit. 2) The bad one. They leverage their current business model by owning Villa as a separate organisation who then borrows money from the parent organisation in order to sign players who are represented by the parent organisation. This means that THEY would make profit, but Villa would potentially be in a precarious position. Fair enough but to win things you have to seriously spend money and that brings the profit down if there is any at all. It's one thing getting for 6th and a whole other game getting to 1st

  6. A lot people seized on the fact that his statement had an element of 'goodbye' in it - with a sale starting to look some way off - I'm just wondering has he washed his hands of us ? - Like the Randy Lerner years were 2006-2014 - Whatever happens now isn't on his watch. Also looking at the prices that championship clubs go for, why would pay £200m for Aston Villa. I know Reading have debts which need to be paid - but the bidding price is £1 !!!!1 - buy that ...£30m on players - would give you a decent crack at promotion - perhaps another £40 to keep them in the prem. Where as Aston Villa is £200m - £30m to stay in the prem - perhaps £70-80m to make us competitive. It would seem to me the value for money thing to do is to buy an ailing championship club.. FFP Talking of FFP. Are PSG immune to the rules? Nope got fined the same as man city, qpr fined even more

  8. That was the biggest load of crap I've read
  9. Willing to half his salary and is 31 hardly ancient
  10. What's this about a sheik then?
  11. definitely 1 although I would give a vague update if there is a few bidders
  12. I disagree I think for sub 2m hoolahan on a 2 year deal would be a good signing
  13. I saw that car on May 2nd in the car park
  14. Signing holt on a permanent would be stupid
  15. Yea Holtby is alright I just wouldn't swap him for Delph rather buy him outright or if he is too high priced go for someone else.
  16. I'm surprised you still jump to his defence after he made you believe cut backs and the club you support being terrible was all part of a plan to build a new ambitious team and go again. That is what is happening though, just it will be with new owners and not RL. Had to happen either way, maybe not so quickly and with such drastic cuts, but it had to happen. Whether the new investment in order to take us forward after the underperforming overpaid squad has been dismantled and moved on comes from RL or a new owner takes nothing away from the fact that they needed dismantling and moving on. So how come the view that he was surviving on the cheap until sold was shouted down so much for the past two years? You know I'm constantly seeing you post things like "why did people say that" or "why did people say this" - I really don't know what you're expecting people to say to you. You were right all along BJ10, everybody else was wrong. Lol beat post of the week
  17. Yet we have struggled to get one for the last few yrs?? For me delph is clearly our best midfielder, but he is jack of all trades master of none. At times he can dribble well but then others his touch is poor, his passing is either good or terrible. Tackling he either wins the ball or gets booked. Holtby is a different kind if footballer. He is good on the ball and can pick a pass. Was very rated at youth level captaining various German international sides. He would be great for us on my eyes Yes we have struggled and not one part of that has been his fault Please read my post and don't try to start a nothing argument. Where have I said we struggled because of Delph? I merely said that delph can do everything but not at a high standard. You said that getting a defensive midfielder is easier than getting an Am, I said we have struggled to get an Am for the last few yrs.i said the opposite
  18. I don't do defence I do facts and common sense what someone else views my comments as means little to me when it is the polar opposite.

  20. Ah good so I didn't waste my time reading the last 100 pages
  21. No I wouldn't it is harder to find a defensive midfielder that can play with the ball than it is to find a DECENT attacking midfielder as that is all he is.
  22. If he has been released I'd guess that it's a move off to the USA for him but he is good enough for us for sure.
