  1. No, but only because I can run away from a short middle aged woman.
  2. Ooh not a "new stadium in the pipe-line", excuse me while I shit out my eyes with envy. I would be livid if we were to move to a new concrete and steel corporate theatre and besides, there have been lots of things in the pipelines of clubs before Captain Spiv-face got his hands on them and they went so far into the red they thought they were in Russia.

    Running

No I **** didn't! A girl on my course was going on about how her boyfriend ran could run a 5 minute mile and that he was by far the fittest person she knew. She just couldn't shut her mouth so I bet I could run 2 miles in 10 minutes. Facepalm. Looking at it now I didn't have a cat in hell's chance. It cost me a round of drinks.

how did you work out the exact mmmmm-mileage? Track. 2 miles = 3219m so 8 laps + 19m is as near as damn it 2 miles. ah track. I guess that might be slightly easier/faster than road running, but even so, that's a really good time, especially if you're not a "runner" as such. running 2 miles that quickly would knacker most casual runners. I keep fit, (martial arts, racket sports, football or the gym at least 10 hours a week total) just never with running. I thought this might help to encourage me to start but it didn't. I obviously need to find a hot running partner to make me ignore the pain.

Anyone who runs is a nutter. I ran 2 miles as quick as I could the other day in order to settle a bet. I did it in 12 minutes 10 seconds and I nearly collapsed afterwards. Is it the pain you enjoy or what? I'm not really getting what the hook is.
  7. I hate to flog a dead horse but he was Im-****-mense against Chelsea.
  8. Cuellar 6.5? That's even more bizzare than giving NRC man of the match. I suppose we all see things differently.. Yes Cuellar scored, but his distribution was poor and it looked as if it was a mistake by him that led to their goal..so yes a 6.5 What was wrong with his distribution? He kept it simple, played a great ball setting Milner free and didn't give the ball away once, completing 21 successful passes. Yeah but apart from that it was abysmal.
  9. I watched it on a stream so I'm not affected by your insolence . Other than having a 1920s film monster stance for stand up big baby looks like a real prospect for the whole series winner.
  10. Fedor's fighting Rogers this weekend, Velasquez vs Big Nog is confirmed for UFC 108 (which won't have Lesnar v Carwin on) and someone has actually paid money for Cris Cyborg to do a topless photo shoot.
  11. But surely, based on the money we've spent, we shouldn't be finishing top 4. There are probably 5 or so teams that've spent more money than we have in recent years. So surely 6th place is about best we can hope for going by this logic. I'm not having a dig at you here, but are there four or five teams that have spent more than us over recent years? I can only think of Spurs, Chelsea and Man City. Does anyone have a list of club spending over the past few years (in total)? It would be quite interesting to see. Perhaps also seeing what players were purchased with that money would also create a better picture. I don't get this "past few years" stuff. Are players signed more than a few years ago ineligible to play? No. Rooney cost a **** load but because he was brought quite a while ago he isn't taken into consideration. Bollocks to that, Plop and United have both pumped money in, the result of which are squads that cost far more than ours.
  12. Scolari is earning £12m a year telling Uzbeks and Brazilian kids to run around. Avram Grant has won precisely 0 things outside of Israel. Lippi is the Italy national coach again isn't he?
  13. General, as you're obviously aware Randy has met with some of the 'disgruntled' Browns fans due to their current plight. I've been told that they came out of the meeting singing his praises and being completely behind his ownership of the team. I have two questions regarding this 1) Is Mr. Lerner is a Jedi or is he just that genuine and engaging? 2) If he is that nice then why do we never get to see interviews with him? Do you think you could persuade him to do us a 30 second update once or twice a year on how he thinks things are going? Just a little video posted on the OS so we could get the over all feeling from him... and so we could rub the fact he's here in opposition fans faces a bit more. Thanks.
  14. Does anyone have a clip of that? I NEED that commentary.
  15. According to Carwin's twitter it's been moved to 108 (I think that's in January).
  16. To save themselves some money they should just sneak up in the night, change the roads signs about a bit then write the word spurs on the roof of the Emirates and claim they built it. They can show these plans as proof.Job's a goodun.
  17. Just got a text saying Brock is out of his title defence at UFC 106. Gutted. Edit - I've had a look and it's true. Who steps in? Velasquez? Surely not. Dos Santos? Nowhere near peaking atm. Big Nog? He's out of training. If they scrap it it'll kill the the PPV buys. Bummer.
  18. It was shown live in the prelims! It was a cracker, Barry had an amazing night and then burst into tears.
  19. I think Machida won 2 and 3. The reason Shogun didn't get the decision could have been down to his negative tactics, giving Octagon control to Machida. Also leg kicks are unspectacular so judges may not score them too highly. All things considered though, Shogun deserves an immediate rematch at the very least.
  20. He said he would like him replaced. Look at the poll at the top of the page. That's 14 folk, you and him included. You've almost got enough for a breakaway Villa rugby team.
  21. Would that be like the poor performance against Blackburn which was addressed with changes in order to get 4 points of Citeh and Chelsea. What about Carew coming on for NRC at 0-0 against the scum. What was that if not a change? Carew played a massive part in the only goal of the game. Was that not match changing? The same thing applies to Heskey and the goal against Wolves. I don't think we are a nothing club, I'm worried that you do. Anyway, I enjoyed the victories against Chelski and Plop, they are wins against great teams. How in the world is that pointless. If I thought that they were pointless I would never watch the games, just the table. Steve Sidwell IS a midfield spoiler. To save me repeating myself I'll just address the out of positions point. How would you define when a player is "out of position"? Was Gareth Barry out of position in CM? Is Joe Cole out of position in LM? Sometimes players play better in roles they have not been brought up in. I cba to do the wall of text.
  22. Well, at least you didn't have to watch the match. Eh? I was there, we were crap. Perhaps all the best play happened while you were reading your texts. Yeah i must have missed all our chances and all that fast, attacking, exciting play that the media seem to think we play. I must miss that every game. It sounds like you're wasting your time. You might even consider not coming any more...
  23. I don't think we're one dimensional but I'll answer your question anyway. Man U's movement of the ball on the floor throughout the team is a fair bit better than ours, they have the ability to make 15 one touch passes in 10 seconds to work the ball anywhere they want. We can't do that, not many teams in the world can. As for Plop, well, they play more through balls I suppose. They seem to be good at splitting defences, then again Torres can make a shit pass look good so I don't think that's all too important.
