Why would people be against this? The majority of the ground would still be seated, so just sit there. Anyway, imagine the North Stand being renovated, filling in the corners on that side; then the whole of the lower Holte turned into a standing area. The capacity would surely be over 65k. We wouldn't fill it in the current regime but hey, it would look tremendous!

we always seem to get easyish groups; then underestimate the teams that we're playing; struggle to get through and get knocked out before the semi's. I'll actually relish having a tough group, maybe we'll start the tournament off how we should end it.

Thinking about travelling around the US of A and Canada within the next year or 2. Just wondered if any of you have done it; what the best places and attractions to visit are; whats required to do it; how long you went for and how much you spent etc... Hoping to go for a few months staying in cheap hostals, hotels and maybe even camping here and there. Wondering what the best option of transport is as well, e.g. cheap flights, trains, renting a car etc... Obviously my main aim is to see as much of the country as I can, and meet as many people / travellers / yankee girls (hoping my English accent might help here) as possible. If anyones been there, done it, living there and has any pointers, stories, advice; it would be much appreciated, as my planning might as well start now. Cheeeeeers.

I don't know why people are saying 'it's only a friendly', especially 2 weeks before the season starts. We should really be in full swing now ready to take it into the season, with only a handfull of pre-season games left. We should be playing the football we intend to be playing against Fulham in a few weeks; and if this is it, then it's pretty shocking. Hoof-in-hell.
