Kids are kids. Not really disappointed with any of them, given how little first team football they've played. The experienced players are who let me down. Davies, Beye, Warnock, and Downing in particular. Stewie might as well have not been on the pitch after the first half hour.

Frankly, if Bradley were to come in, we'd probably play a lot like we did under MON. Tough, fast counter attacking and good at set pieces. They're pretty similar in terms of their methods. Great man motivators but stubborn, old-fashioned, and when they do actually make changes, they tend to make them too late. Jol, I'd be pretty happy with. Might mean we pick up some Dutchmen, too.

If we bring in Ireland and Pienaar, they'll expect to start along with at least Ash, if not Downing too, so we'd sorely need to bring in the likes of Flamini or another player who will put themselves about the midfield physically, unless NRC is going to get a lot more time this year.

Jérémy Mathieu. Excellent player, can also play on the wing and in central midfield. Wouldn't mind him here at all, but he's only been in Spain for one season.

I think Gignac would do very well with the wide service we have and has enough strength to play the English game, but 11m is too much, given how poor the French WC showing was and that he's not at a club like of Lyon or Bordeaux. ~7m would be worth the gamble, imo.
