Turns out he has had two spells at Genoa, and supposedly when he joined Genoa the second time, he had lots of offers from other big, European clubs. Career stats, including tonight are: 275 games 152 goals Very, very impressive.

Hardly. They signed him from Genoa for a big fee who also paided close to £10million for him. He scored so many at Genoa that he basically took them to the brink of the Champions League single handedly. And before that he played for Zaragoza in Spain where he scored regulary. I wouldn't really call him an unknown.

Hampshire got 341-6 from their 40 overs against Warwickshire. Can't see us winning this, but who knows. Goes completely against the formbook so far, Bears have won all 5, Hampshire have lost all 4 of theirs.

I went outside for about 30 minutes earlier. Been revising and watching the play-off final so haven't really had chance to experience the heat

Thing with Sturridge is that you would be shelling out a lot on wages for a player that is nowhere near ready or even proven. We need proven players now if we want to get into the CL. -
