  1. When you lay everything else out like this - I agree. I'd assume someone else bigger in another league would hire him actually. But if he really only wants to come back to England - we really are a good fit for him. A better fit actually then his time at Spurs. I think our owners would give him no quarrel like Levy at Spurs probably did.
  2. Odds of us actually selling him this late in the window?
  3. But its much more then that. Majority aren't even thinking about signing him just because he's a Villa fan - thats an extra bonus. Its the fact he's proving to be a genuine good to great manager and everything he talks about and constructs - he's top tier. Genius footy mind. So imagine if he "potentially" could receive the financial backing of our owners - I'd be willing to take that risk on him. Potter's style is also attractive on the eye imo. Willing to change it up every week.
  4. Its pretty easy to spot why a lot of us want Potter mate. The entire world is starting to take notice.
  5. I see your point for sure. My top two are Potter then Poch. But i'm starting to doubt we can even come close to attempt them, unless we throw major financial backing behind it.
  6. Quite a few of us have brought up Thomas Franks name - I'd like him here. Surely he's a name you'd at the very least bring in for an interview.
  7. I'm seeing a lot of Watford fans raving about Hause
  8. Anel Ahmedhodzic on the scoresheet again x2 as a CB... Him and Ndiaye are quality
  9. I'm becoming a big fan of this Aaronson kid.
  10. I'd love to take Broja off their hands... same with Gallagher but they'll likely keep him
  11. Not a priority - but I'd love if we somehow would go after Aaron Wan-Bissaka... With a tactical mind of a new manager I could see utilizing Bissaka at CB in a 5 at the back and Cash as a RWB. The pace on that side... Reminds me a little of Kyle Walker in a sense.
  12. No chance with the likes of Hansi Flick and Zidane. I reckon Flick goes to Madrid after Ancelotti finally calls it quits. Poch is a stretch even at that. But probably the most likely as Marco Rose and especially Gallardo are way to inexperienced for us.
  13. Any of those guys want to take that bet - I'll take the other side lol
  14. Where's West Ham getting all this cash for players like Paqueta? He would've been a tremendous signing for us.
  15. It would be a better investment in the long haul if they stumped up the money in the now for a top tier manager then wasting on guys similar to Gerrard over and over again. I'm sure their analytics teams know that
  16. Great points. But I do think with the pressure on NSWE to bring a big name manager in from the fans - they would be the ones to do it.
  17. Going from Kamara, Diego Carlos to potentially Ross Barkley and Craig Dawson is so disheartening
  18. Terrible tackle, yes. I'm not gonna hold a grudge over it tho, its footy. Our opinions def differ on that - I'm not criticizing. But I do think either Mee or Jansson could do a job for us 'at times'. I would never want them to be automatic starters - but if we could've gotten 1 on a free as a backup, 3rd/4th choice and fill a void in the mean time, I would've taken the offer.
  19. A part of me thinks Ben Mee would've been brilliant for us - especially the CB situation we have now. Also Pontus Jansson is quality.
  20. Transfer strategy/scouting department should just copy Brightons targets. Then again - those players get developed and taught proper tactics, would they get that here and actually turn into big time players?
  21. When you put it this way... Sign him up lol!
  22. He has no "tricks" up his sleeve yet. Creativity isn't there. Comes off as a manager to know what he wants to do - but doesnt know how to properly implement it. Not well spoken overally in regards to tactic talk. I've always liked his passion and grit, but a manager needs A LOT more then that to succeed in modern football.
