  1. Yesterday I walked from the staff car park to work with a rabid nose. I never mentioned the R word or even football once (on purpose) When we got into work he turned to me and said "You bastard I kept expecting you to gloat and you didn't and that made it 10 times worse" Nice to know you can wind em up without even saying anything
  2. The more you read about the plight of Small Heath the more you really do have to chuckle
  3. I don't really mind how they went down. They went down and that is good enough for me. Was nice they were safe then down then safe then down again though !!
  4. Anyone want to admit to also doing this. Maybe while slightly intoxicated
  5. Now there's an idea ! Winds em up no end !!
  6. I have made the youtube video my ringtone. Been having fun at work standing next to noses and getting my phone to ring !!
  7. Well if the BBC says we lost we must have. As they never ever get things wrong
  8. Normally I like Fossil watches but those two are hideous !
  9. The thing that I have liked about the first 4 games is the fact we have taken the game to opponents. Forcing things to happen. Bay will hopefully be back next week. I think we got a chance tonight but dont fancy Niese against Halliday Thursday. Still even if we drop both I would have taken 3-3 after the first two series. Still can't see past 3rd or 4th in Division but it's still nice to let teams know we won't be an easy touch
  10. How about Chris Young last night then. First Met Pitcher ever to have two hits in his first to at-bats with the club and finished with 3. And not to shabby a pitching performance either. Nice to stick it to the Phillies even if it is only one game
  11. There is a world of difference between Ginger and a Redhead
  12. Terraces no more killed people at Hillsborough than seats killed people at Bradford. A red herring IMHO As someone who goes to see German Football at least twice a season I am firmly in the bring back standing camp, and yes I am old enough to have stood at football. Most German clubs have membership schemes that you have to join before you can buy tickets for the standing areas and I don't see why this cannot be the case here. The atmosphere is fantastic at German stadia, much better than here. And to me part of the attraction of football is the atmosphere at games. We know the clubs won't go for it. If it was up to them attending football would be like attending the theatre. It's all about money these days and clubs won't do anything that will upset their revenue streams. It's a shame because I believe football would benefit from standing areas at grounds (especially if it came with cheaper tickets so some of the people who have been priced out of attending come back)
  13. Never underestimate the power of eco-mentalists to make people believe really dumb shit either
  14. Gave MOTM to Ash but Pires and Downing came close. Good show from Delph too who didn't look fazed by playing left back. Nice to go into the last 10 mins of a game without pressure. Special mention to the Good Luck Arsenal banner guy, give that man a rosy apple
  15. The Sty would be a good place for a hustle. Someone conned a lot of money from them by making them believe Zigic was a footballer
  16. One of arguments people come out with when discussing the monarchy is that they earn their keep and attract tourists to the country. I think tourists come to see the buildings and the paraphernalia rather than the Royals themselves.
  17. He is starting to put his stamp on the team, play his way with players he is comfortable with. It will take more than a month to do that but he is getting there. Things are definitely improving and the squad seems to be in a much happier place now. Thumbs up from me
  18. Just imagine being a barcode and turning your calendar over in the morning. Tee Hee
  19. Just got back. I gave MOTM to Bannan. Always looking to receive the ball and make a pass. Some lovely touches too. Special mentions to Pires, Clarke and Reo-Coker Nice to see a pretty comfortable win and some players getting a rest too. Onwards and Upwards
  20. Do you think they realise that Wembley holds more than 20,000
