So from that statement we can gather we asked to speak to Martinez. Martinez had a meeting with Whelen and decided not to talk to us. So we didn't offer him the job. Therefore he hasn't turned down the job.

And what's the betting that news from WAFC is Martinez has signed a new contract. Not that he has turned down Villa as I don't reckon he has been offered the job He must have been offered the job. Otherwise why all the media hype? If he hasn't been offered the job, then I'm sure the club would have already released a statement to that effect. Because he is the only one the media have found out about that has been interviewed! And only then because Whelen blabbed. It didn't come out from the Villa end

Have subscribed and Issue 1 came this morning. Haven't really read anything in depth yet but it looks pretty damn good. Its more like a paperback book than a magazine and it certainly looks and feels like a quality publication

How can our targets have been snapped up. Until we get a manager who will have his own ideas on who he wants we won't even know who our targets are. Unless you are suggesting we just buy players anyway and hope the new man fancies them
