  1. As bad as a comparison as you could of chosen. They have two arms and two legs and that’s where the similarities end. I want the kid to succeed, anyone who plays for Villa I want to do well. However I see no reason why he is starting and am failing to see what he brings to our team when he’s played. I hope he has a great career with us, but can’t see it sadly.
  2. He’s not the future of this club
  3. Good job Wes and Nas won’t think that
  4. Another poster happy with mediocrity. We are allowed to question the management. Since January we have been bang average...I’m not buying the notion that covid derailed us, we were poor before that. Smith is slow to make changes, we have been consistently poor second half of games, suspect he will be let go next season. Our PPG since January is relegation form. Purslow et al won’t tolerate this
  5. 100% Wes and Nas won’t accept 11th place next year. We will invest in the summer and I suspect if we are not showing signs of pushing for top 6/8 they will act swift: We are very fortunate our owners have real ambition...
  6. I don’t think Smith will be here come Christmas - will be under pressure next season
  7. I don’t think Smith will be here come Christmas - will be under pressure next season
  8. The way he strikes the ball is identical, like a low strong side footed strike.
  9. I’d thank him for everything and move him on ... won’t be manager come end of next season.
  10. Give ya head a wobble - on the whole he’s been a great signing. Was a silly red and inexcusable, I didn’t dislike Guilbert but Cash has had a fine first season in the prem
  11. Dumbest sending off I can remember
  12. Bored of listening to the nonsense on here tbh, just be nice to know if he will a) play again this season. b) if he will ever play for us again. Would like to beat WBA, but without him the way we have been it’ll be very tough
  13. Any news on if he’s edging closer to playing? Would be nice to have him back for the baggies.
  14. Why wait till we are 6-10 games into season to make a change. Always been my issue with clubs why not make a change when you are in a position of strength which we would be in the summer. In truth I’d give him a golden handshake thank him for his service will always be loved but no room for sentiment - I believe there will be better managers available in the summer who could take us next level. I’d make a bet that he won’t be manager come the final game of the season next year.
  15. Love the guy and has done a brilliant job for us. Has done his job brilliantly, promotion, safety and progression in 3 seasons. HOWEVER he is NOT the guy to really kick us on to where we want to be and to fulfil the ambitions of our owners. We should let him go in the summer and really show some intent with a bigger name and sell a project to attract the 3 or 4 quality players that will make us a force. Jack yet to be determined, but our owners have showed real intent with our proactiveness to lockdown contracts for key players therefore I feel they won’t accept mid table next year nor should they.
  16. WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET 12-15 MILLION FOR HIM
  17. Did we gain more than 3 points in each match from beating Arsenal and CP? they were worth the same amount as any previous win in the season. Beating Everton at start of season was just as important as beating Palace in terms of points- it just so happened he scored goals v CP and Arsenal and these games were later in the season. He is a woeful footballer who shouldn’t be playing at this level - period we could go forever - did Dougie keep us up as he got us back into the game v watford, and TM and Konza last minute? We could go on and on.
  18. Saying it was his goals that saved us is such a weak argument - certainly not a reason he should be playing for us...his goals helped generate the points needed to stay up but had he of helped prior in the season we wouldn’t have needed the wins v arsenal and palace etc. When he goes I will certainly not look back on him fondly. It’s depressing watching him run around aimlessly, a shot weaker than a 15 year old and gives away needless fouls. He would struggle in the championship. I’d happily release him in summer for no money.
  19. Love the guy but he has hit his ceiling with us. I would sell a project to a top manager and give plenty of money to build around Jack.
  20. HT v Spurs: It’s time for smith to make a positive impact on this game tactically. I question his in game management as we are very poor chasing games. What does he see in Trez - worst player in league. Would rather Keinan up top and Ollie out wide than Trez!
  21. Worst player in the league ... utter waste of space. Complete garbage.
  22. Can’t take you seriously...probably a big Trez fan as well I’m guessing
