Not the real ticket - will always get a free pass from Villa fans. His final ball and output is appalling. Had some real opportunities first half driving from middle and final ball, pass or shot woeful.

I want to love him but not sure I actually rate him too highly. Feel like he is very slow on the ball, takes him an extra second to make sure he has it under control. The opposite of Pau who is very assured on the ball

Awful take, we r more likely to get points against Bournemouth than Man City … we are not good enough to pick and choose when to have players available. Hopefully Dougie doesn’t pick up a yellow v City. But I’d like to get 3 points first v Bournemouth then worry about city.

Madness, would be without both him and Kamara v Bournmouth. Just need to hope Dougie comes through unscathed next game.

No one left that game today and their lasting impression was that Ollie Watkins won us that game but if that’s what you want to think then cool.

Missing that chance at 0-0 was criminal, score that and I think we run out 2,3,4-0 comfortably. Paid to score goals, need to bury them kind of chances. It’s all too common with him tbh.

FWIW I said it at the time, him missing that pen in pre season was the best thing that could happen for us. Getting him off pens has paid dividends. Dougie has stepped up and looked super composed.

Never ever bought into the hype for this guy. Single handedly doing his best to cost us games. Highly highly overrated, people defend him to the hilt. Quicker we can replace him in the starting line up the better. Nearly cost us today.

Sending him out on loan when we are gunna have more games than ever next season…makes zero sense

He isn’t good enough simple?…pretty big statement. We’ve seen him as a sub and limited minutes. For a striker coming on for 7 mins, 5 mins etc etc isn’t the easiest. He’s 19 and built like a brick, he’s raw - I wouldn’t write him off just yet. You’d probably be raving about him if that worldie effort v City went in. A run of games in the cup next year will be good for him.

Well he will feature in league cup/ fa cup, conf league and will still get game time in the league - he will get minutes next year for sure, I wouldn’t loan him out until we see how he does for us up till Jan
