Although i dont agree with the fans gester i would have hoped villa fans to be more diplomatic in there responces to the assault ????? I agree it's out of line to start with these racist jibes, but don't take it personally. It's just frustration at some fans being allowed to do whatever they want, but English fans getting told off for sneezing out of place. Though it won't make a bit of difference, but it's supposed to be a dig at the Austrians, not Germans. Agreed though, out of order and no need for it. Hope the Hitler and Fritzl digs die down before the 2nd leg, otherwise it's going to be a very nasty night in Birmingham. Crying bluenoses (after their inevitable loss), angry Wien and Villa fans clashing in the city centre isn't going to be pleasant at all.

It doesn't matter what he does. He's under contract and it's upto us if we want to sell him. He has no right to demand anything. What's he going to do about it, go on strike? Fine. He can rot. No reserve team football, no training, he will rapidly decrease and his career will be over. Players signing 4 year contracts then demanding and weasling their way out of them after 2 years infuriates me no end. This isn't about Jimmy btw. I love the bloke. Love him as a Villa player and don't think he's the sort of fella to demand a move away, especially after talking about liking the stability compared to Newcastle. But that's how I'd deal with any player who tries to manipulate his way out of a contract.

I like the optimism , but if MoN were to strip the team down to the bare essentials and rebuild around a couple players, Milner would be first choice every single time. Followed by Young, Gabby and Downing (in that order).

I'm of the view that any player from any club, excluding Chelsea, would be far better off at Man Utd than at their current clubs, even if they only got very small amounts of gametime. As mentioned by Alpay, just to be there for training would be highly beneficial to them. If Milner were to go to Utd, I would be 100% thrilled for him. It'd be a huge opportunity for him. I just hope that MoN would get enough money to buy a replacement, plus a crap load more in fees for the privilege of being able to buy him. Don't think he's going though to be fair. I don't think we're going to lose any of our important players this summer, but we will gain a couple more.
