  1. Hilarious, we are. So devoid of ideas and coaching that we get a glimpse of possession and just **** it back up the pitch to their goalkeeper, cause we'd rather see them try to do something with the ball than actually try ourselves. Pathetic.
  2. McGinn shouldn't be anywhere near our first XI currently. Bit of a joke he's wearing the armband. Couldn't lead lemmings off a cliff
  3. He needs to look them right in the eye.
  4. Moura is a long, looooooong way from being anywhere near prime Zidane level.
  5. Personally don't want him regardless of who's boss. We don't need him and he isn't a clear improvement on what we have. Sigh.
  6. If Slippy thinks this signing will appease the fans calling for his head, he's got another thing coming...
  7. I refuse to believe that Lange and NSWE are approving / bankrolling a deadline day move for Moura. There's just no way. If I'm wrong, they're really not half as clever as I thought.
  8. Levy, for all that he is a despicable prick, has done a fantastic job at convincing the world Spurs are a huge club. He has raised their profile from being frankly irrelevant outside North London to being thought of as major players. They have the best stadium in the league and will probably win silverware under Conte. Can't really compare him to Purslow, who in 4 years at Villa hasn't raised our profile one iota. We are the same size club as the one that got relegated. I will concede that he is a better CEO than the one we had at that point, but he's hardly brought us on leaps and bounds. 4 years might not be long but you'd want to see signs of progress in that time. I don't see any signs that we are growing as a club. North Stand redevelopment is great and all, but it only keeps us "on par" in terms of being an average Premier League outfit and has needed work for decades. With the backing of our current owners, any CEO at all would be looking to expand the stadium right now, it's the obvious choice. He's yet to deliver anything really surprising or brilliant in a commercial or business sense, and he's had 4 years with huge backing to do it, meanwhile he's been insinuating himself into the footballing side of things and making crap decisions while doing so. I don't see why we'd be eager to keep him.
  9. Refreshing NewsNow every 5 mins wondering how he's still here Get it done Villa.
  10. Yeah, strangely neither of them have amounted to much. They were such good leaders on the pitch, with such defensive nous, I'd have thought they'd make good coaches, if not managers. Apparently not. Shame really. Though understand it's not for everyone either.
  11. SURELY it has reached the owners and Purslow/Lange by this point that a majority of fans want him gone.
  12. Yes! Halcyon days. And then we signed Mathieu Berson and Eric Djemba-Djemba and that was the end of that brief bump.
  13. Swedish - Olof Mellberg Danish - Martin Laursen
  14. Never warmed to Purslow and like him even less now.
  15. I would imagine the owners are highly reluctant to sign off on big money signings for a manager who's on extremely thin ice.
  16. Never let the truth get in the way of a good Tweet mate.
  17. Why would anyone, by that logic? It's not like he's pulling up trees at Wolves. Pretty sure many said Coutinho would never consider us, then he signed. I wouldn't have expected Everton captain Digne to join us either, but he did. Ings is another that surprised me. People are talking about Tielemans and Diallo. Perhaps they're out of teach too, but Neves is honestly no further out of reach.
