Which exactly of the sides that have "made it" and transitioned to successful sides in the last 10 years (so basically just Spurs and Wolves) have bought multiple £50m signings in order to get European football? Hell even Man City didn't and still haven't made those sorts of signings.
You seem to think that in order to "satisfy our ambitions" and get where our owners want the club to be we need to be spending £200m with all of them +50m based on the above. Madness.
What exactly would it take for you to sit back on here and say "this was an amazing window lads nice one owners well done I'm happy"...
Delighted for Jack.
He now needs to go to the training camp and make every defender there look like a prized rocket polisher in the first half hour to rub it in that stupid waistcoat wearing snatch dragons smug pointy nosed grill.
I'd keep hold of Davis over Samatta as one of the four any day of the week. He's an absolute beast in training and its only a matter of time before that translates into a game scenario. I feel if we let go of him he will become excellent for another rival. At worst, ensure we loan him to someone near the top of the championship and I reckon he'd return with 10-15 goals.
The same guy who oversaw:
15m Douglas deal
14m Targett deal
11m Konsa deal
All of which will be worth at the very least double what we bought them for (prolly triple/quadruple once Konsa has reached his potential)
And also secured Louie Barry and Ben Chrisene who were two of the most coveted u18's in European football...
Bloke ain't got a **** clue has he... disgraceful
All because @rodders0223 thinks we're Chelsea all of a sudden
Ziyech, Kovacic, mount, pulisic, Gilmour, Kante, Barkley, Jorginho.
how many **** CM’s does a club need.
Throw the money at him and say he will be our number 1 CM. Show the ambition that we all want to see.
Makes a lot of sense, Elmo is 33 in 10 days time as well which in our squad is the equivalent of having Totti rolling around at 41 still (just pretty shit and from Egypt)
I agree, the wage structure has to give at some point if we are going to compete for proper statement signings... it seems to be the biggest mental block for the board at the moment.
Still 4 and a half weeks mate, its the first signing.
Give them a chance, things have only really taken off in the market this week (apart from the mercenaries at Stamford Bridge).
