  1. I have an unhealthy obsession with Jack but wont be booing him
  2. Who gives a shit who hes joining seriously? As a villa fan the important point is the loss to ASTON VILLA. The tribalism is tiresome.
  3. A load of these football twitter kids have those tweets saved for the 'Bantz'. They clock em getting deleted within minutes.
  4. I know contracts aren't worth much these days but signing a 5 year deal, buying into the project where the club say we are going to build a proper team around you and go for it and then 1 year into it saying im offski is pretty shit practice. The club also did him a solid by looking after him at the end of the season to get him ready for the EUROs and for a 'Villa man' its a hell of a season to go out on having not played in a full villa park for a year and a half.
  5. And there lies the futility of it all. Soton would quite rightly ask for 40-45mill which is almost half the Grealish money gone. I like Ward Prowse, nice player but christ that's underwhelming.
  6. So in the last half hour, Grealish (well his team) are deleting his cmon United tweets now lol. What a game
  7. Its Jon the don Barnett, number 1 most powerful sports agent in the world. He don't have to talk Villa - gets the deal done himself he does. Just like he did last year.
  8. Bob Marley's three little birds playing in the background with Jack singing "Dont worry about a thing..."
  9. Yep, its a microcosm of what happens on any contencious issue on social media. Adults (those that are) turn into children and somehow WW3 is on the horizon.
  10. Hahah the Bluemoon forum is proper Northern. I love how bitter and personal their digs are at Villa fans and that's when they the ones winning in all of this. Even in defeat, the villa faithful somehow manage to get right under the skins of the oppo.
  11. He's worth a lot lot more to Aston Villa then he is to Man City hence why there should be an impasse when it comes to negotiating a fee.
  12. RE: a release clause, i'd just be saying to him you and big nose agreed to that figure so you must of thought some f**ker would pay it. Tough titty.
  13. This Sam Lee is a sensitive lad, very much a journalist of his time. His latest article is a hard hitting piece on the ugly side of writing about football transfers. Going on like he's the Veronica Guerin of transfer window tittle tattle.
  14. We should put a DVD together. Along with a nice glossy brochure of course:
  15. MON signing a Jamaican from the Bundesliga? Steady! Oh the MON days... signed about 40 players. The amount of actual money spent on players from outside of England/Scotland? £1 million lol (Guzan and Salifou). Makes Sean Dyche seem cosmopolitan.
  16. I think that would have been the compromise. From Grealish's point of view at the time i'm sure it was who gives a shit if there's a clause or not i'm committing to Villa but the agent would have said to him keep your options open...you don't know if Villa will have a shit season / a bigger club might come in next year / you dont have to leave if its activated its just their to protect you if you do etc. Now Man City have come along its the acid test.
  17. Every year that leach Barnett seems to spend at least 6 months in regular discussions with a club(s) about moving on (Man City the pick this year, Man U last year) basically talking through a deal in principle which is where all the leaks come from. Its all hypotheticals i imagine, if Jack wants to go, Villa might accept £x etc. he's want x wages etc. but its worrying that this is the 2nd season its happened. I too am in the camp that you tell the agent i'm going no-where (so don't be wasting your time) but agents are a law unto themselves (and i feel this one particularly) so whether Jack has told him to or not (who knows) I suppose will do his job in trying to present a attractive enough package to get Jack to jump ship. The picture Jack painted of his agent coming up his house last year after he told him he was staying at Villa and being there or 5 hours talking it through with his family makes him sound like a persistent **** who wont take no for an answer (obviously idk but just my interpretation).
  18. This is the only Villa player (likely ever) where its not a "ah well, we move on...we'll find other heroes". Yes you support every man in a claret and blue shirt and there will always be players who become entwined and synonimous with the club eventhough they werent fans to begin with... but this is a one of the best players in the world, arguably the most joyful to watch who lives and breathes Aston Villa. Thats not worth 100 million to us, its priceless. It just doesnt happen. The idea of Jack retiring at Villa has a sadness to it as i know i'll never see the like again so the thought of him leaving at his peak and playing for another i could not countenance. Even during the shit years hes brought joy to watching villa, now with the potential to move forward accepting any bid for him has to be out of the question.
  19. I can see it now..."Jack, you can't sign for Man City, i told sir_gary_cahill you'd do another year"
  20. Since day one hes done that. At defenders, at refs and even at his own team mates at times. Watched him closely with that in his 1/2 season and could see the rest of the team getting pissed off him when he would throw his arms up in the air and complain. I can imagine it wears thin quick, especially from a player with his 'limitations'' (to put it mildly).
  21. At Bruges they made Wesley wear a plaster on his hand as a reminder to stop twatting people. I can see why.
