  1. I've seen that goal from directly behind Wilson, the ball curves off Mings and goes out past the post by a yard at least then back in at the post. 9/10 times that would have gone out for a corner.
  2. Defo not what I saw, he was superb after he got over his awful first 35 mins. I thought he picked the ball up alot I tight areas and pinged some good balls about.
  3. He played okay today. There was times when he bought the ball down and wanted to play it out wide, but our fullbacks werent high enough. I think he'll come good, just needs more support and better service.
  4. Not having wingbacks who can deliver a decent cross is killing us going forward, it's stifling us.
  5. Not sure what to think after that. Conceding the penalty so early, totally killed is. Too many players bowing hot and cold. Although the decision by Atkinson to essentially let Bournemouth keep 11 players on the pitch, was appauling. Hard to say how Wesley will do, he improved today but we weren't playing to his strengths. Also though Luiz was awful for an 30mins but I can see him being a decent player. Defo need to bring in the new wing backs and we need to improve fast.
  6. I didn't think you were being hysterical, but in balance, I don't think 3-1 flattered us. Before Erikson changed the game and the second goal, totally knocked the stuffing out of us.
  7. At least 20 of those shots were from outside the box. They hardly troubled Heaton for 70mins.
  8. Played well for the majority of the match. Spurs had lots of possession but Erikson changed the game.Thought Jota was out of his depth and just couldn't get into it. Grealish's mistake was bad, but the ball literally deflected off 2 players and fell at Kanes feet, huge amount of luck in that. Engels and Mings look good together and Heaton was quality. I reckon once Guilbert, Marvellous and Luiz come into the side we'll be fine.
  9. After weeks of 'refreshing' transfer news...
  10. I reckon if we are integrating 4 or 5 at the start of a season, we may as well intergrate 10-12. I'd say by buying more in one go we're improving the probability that you'll get more new players being effective immediately.
  11. He used to hate us, but since the 5-5 with Forest he's completely changed his tune. He was commenting for Talksport and was absolutely loving us, he was so excited he could hardly speak. Since then he's praised Dean Smith repeatedly and said Grealish "Is as smooth as a glass of Bailey's being poured over the ice at Christmas." Glad they had someone on too stick it to Allardyce the bloke was spouting so much tripe, and clearly hadn't a clue about why were buying in so many players. How anyone can compare us to Fulham is beyond me.
  12. Going forwards that'll be the going rate for a decent goalkeeper in prem. Pickford was £28.5m he's no better than Butland and Begovic went to Bournemouth for £10m, 2 seasons ago, at the age of 30. £8m rarely gets you a decent, consistent, premier league ready player anywhere on the pitch in today's market.
  13. Butland is a superb keeper. Much, much better than Steer. Not sure he's gone backwards, he was in the EFL whoscored team of the season, with 17 clean sheets (highest in the league). Loads of my friends are Stokies, they're gutted he's on his way out, they love him, he was their best player again last season. £20m for a reasonably young England International with Premiership expierence is a bargain (relatively speaking!).
  14. Alright folks, I'm a Villa fan from Stoke, followed them since 1990. I've been lurking around on this site for a while now, and thought it was about time I actually got involved and contributed with the odd post and bad pun.
