Ppl who slag off Bent were and are demented. Ive consistently said that. Yes he doesnt create much of his own goals and is prone to missing a sitter every while but he is like Andy Cole . A no nonsense good finisher and gets into right positions from his own movement to score all the time but dont expect much else . He is instinctive - something that cant be taught. Unfortunately we flogged his normal service in Ashley Young and Downing last summer ..but hes still scoring even under this manager. Hes done it his whole career in Prem and at less fashionable clubs than ourselves - feed him and he will score goals- it is as simple as that. Liverpool spending £30 million on Andy Carrol was always and still is hilarious.

Don't agree at all. It remains to be seen whether this lad will fulfil the potential he once showed. We certainly don't have the scope at present in the Villa side to give him some games to see if he is going to make it or not - we simply don't have enough points to play with. So a loan spell seems the perfect solution to give him some game time and allow him to show what he can do and build up his confidence/match readiness. And if he doesn't develop to Premiership level, there is a good chance Leeds would take him back, I guess. Good management by McLeish I would say. It just seems a joke we bought him for millions from Leeds and now we are loaning him back to Leeds. are Delph , Makoun really that bad? OK to be fair to McLeish yes he did give Delph a run in the side early this season and he was pretty awful. He did look good and promising before his injury tho.

Having seen this particular pic - i am bit concerned about this film now. The corridor looks shit in those pics. Like plastic. The potential space jockey suit / statue in background also looks shit. The space jockey in Alien 1 was massive -so id presumme their suits were - and altho Ridley Scott did imply they might have had some sort of space suit in his commentaries for Alien 1 those in that pic just look crap , very un-Giger like and far too standard looking. Pic could be taken out of context - could be behind the scenes pic rather than in film pic - but seems like Fox did release that promo shot for a magazine (i forget which one) and was a put together pic . Am bit concerned now - Is Ridley Scott about to inadvertly take a big dump all over his finest film and the original Alien / space jockey mythology? I hope not.
