  1. Hes won 7 Premier league games now not 6. Hes won 7 in 10 Premier league games. As McLeish has won 6 in 23.
  2. That Spurs away was awful management. 6 defenders with Hutton and Heskey as wingers when there was no injuries - truly shameful.
  3. someone earlier in this thread did mention the West Ham's macron shirt wasn't available in most sports shops in London.
  4. His win ratio is diabolical. Tho have to admit at least of late the games don't bore the arse off me. There has whether by design or not been some entertainment in games of late - which given the curmudgeon antifootball had to endure for most of this season is a relief. Robbie Keane has been a breathe of fresh air.
  5. Well impossible since he's ruled out by injury! really? Thought he was declared fit for this weekend.
  6. McLeish rates Collins tho. Almost inevitable he starts against Newcastle. The only defenders i can see going in summer are Cuellar and maybe McLeish will replace Warnock.
  7. I somehow imagine Spurs going from Puma to a mega deal with Under Armour (well known in US) is a little bit different to us going from Nike to a less than championship/ shit club kit desingner in Macron. Who have already made ridiculously shite kits. Well Doug Ellis.
  8. My mistake. So.... MON has won 6 games in 9 Premier league games And McLeish has won 6 games in 23 Premier league games. That actually makes it even worse .
  9. You should put that on a flag. When you have posters claiming McLeish is a better manager or equal to MON within a stupid hypothetical level rather than facts- well - yes - It is unfortunate that certain FACTS have to be repeated i agree - rather than retarded imaginary ones and wishful thinking.
  10. Whilst its no great thing what shirt we wear i can safely say all Macron shirts look terrible - embarrasingly bad - and unless they have road to damascus conversion in their design with us - i can safely say i will not be buying any and imagine countless others wont be either. We're well back into Doug Ellis era at the club it seems.
  11. Hmm really ?? What about judging them on their English success ? I think it's one trophy each, they both took unfancied teams to league cup glory. Praise MON all that you want, but at least recognize tat there are parallels between his and McLeish's records. Oh, and by the way you're being silly and utterly stupid if you don't agree with me First off no MON did not win one trophy in England. He won 2 league cups with Leicester not one. He also had Leicester promoted - finishing in the top 10 year after year - no mean feat consideroing the limited resources he had . Unlike our relegation expert McLeish who would be managing in the championship or unemployed if it wasn't for our stupid board. Also in case it needs pointing out yet again MON is currently managing at present in the Premiership if you hadn't noticed and has won more games in 2 months than McLeish has done all season and is sitting 8th in the league. We all hope McLeish does well here but it is indeed utterly stupid to pretend McLeish is on anywere near as good or on par as manager. Just to boringly point it out yet again :- McLeish here has won 6 games in 23. MON at Sunderland has won 7 in 11. So yes you are indeed stupid.
  12. Rmber when Birmingham had an open top bus for finishing 2nd in championship? Do you know who actually won it that season? Ah yes it was Mick McCarthy. How many times did Mcleish get Scotland to a world cup ? Oh thats right he never did. As Mick got Ireland qualified and only knocked out by Spain in the second round on penalties in 2002. Mick McCarthy does also factually have more "Premiership experience" than McLeish. Last season alone proved he was better manager as kept Wolves up with far far far less resources than McLeish had at Birmingham and never has sides playing McLeishs antifootball. I hope McLeish does well but he is an awful manager lets not kid ourselves or least has an awful record and is on par with likes of Gary Megson. That is how stupid the decision was to appoint him.
  13. :? Why do you need a hypothetical when MON is FACTUALLY currently doing a better job at Sunderland than McLeish has done here all season? Im sorry but you started with a gibberish hypotehtical when one was not even needed. Youd be better off comparing McLeish with Gary Megson or Mick McCarthy than you are with MON.
  14. Oh the SPL - the league McLeish managed Rangers to finish THIRD in ... McLeish is a Gary Megson . Youre being silly and frankly just utterly stupid trying to pretend McLeish is somehow on par with MON .
  15. Riiight so that is why MON has won 7 games in 11 at Sunderland in 2 and half months. Whilst meahwhile McLeish has managed 6 wins in 23 games all season despite having a better squad and whole summer to sign his own players. Not really read my post have you. But yeah pretty much the response I expected. The point I am making is that MON has been made out to be messiah whilst at Villa. Yes he was successful for us. But I am suggesting that it was in a 'window' of great opportunity. Massive backing, with the Sky 4 starting to wobble, there was room for a new boy, it could and probably should of been Villa. I think he blew the one chance we had where others may of been a bit less 'this is the Martin O'Neil show' and more lets get Villa back into the English elite. Not a dig at MON, just making a different point/argument to the one banged out so many times on here. MON had faults and yes he did blow a great chance for the top 4 in the 2008-09 season. But after that the squad was stripped apart by our board. You said that McLeish would have done just as good job. Based on what?? MON had pedigree as a Premiership manager from his time at Leicester before he joined us. McLeish has only record of Premiership failure. What on earth makes you think he would have done as well as MON? Nevermind talking about hypotheticals the FACT is MON is currently doing a better job at Sunderland than McLeish is doing here. 7 wins in 11 games compared to 6 wins in 23 games !
  16. Agreed and good post. Altho in fairness to McLeish he did give Delph a run in the side this season and frankly did play crap.
  17. Riiight so that is why MON has won 7 games in 11 at Sunderland in 2 and half months. Whilst meahwhile McLeish has managed 6 wins in 23 games all season despite having a better squad and whole summer to sign his own players.
  18. You may as well make that your sig since you love posting it so much. i might well make it my sig. Although i think my current sig is as appropriate and very apt for the time being - don't you think?
  19. Oh the old MON chestnut MON has won more games at painfully average Sunderland in 2 and half months than McLeish has managed all season. MON 7 wins in 11 games McLeish 6 wins in 23 games ....
  20. His win ratio is laughably bad. Have to say at least the games of late aren't like watching paint dry which they were previously for most of the season but yes McLeish's stats are embarrasingly bad.
