    so in 1 game and 15 minutes we have conceded 5 goals, 4 of which were all absolute calamity goals. Embarrassing tbh.

    cant figure out how they are lining up, a type of 343/352?.......4231? Not sure who in their first 11 is at right back?, they have a debutant 19 year old CD (Colwill), alongside Dunk, Estupinan is a LB, but maybe he is left of a back 3 with Dunk/Colwill? BBC has Gross at RB, but hes a central midfielder?

    I think it will be an interesting winter/summer window with Emery at the helm. I would imagine he will know the Spanish League/Spanish players inside out, i wouldnt be surprised to see us go shopping in the spanish transfer market, for known/less known players. for example, Brighton signed Estupinan (LB) from Villarreal this summer for 18m, they seem to know the Spanish/French & South American market well. With someone like Emery here now, maybe we wil be a bit more active in those markets, rather than where we have been buying from recently?

    imagine if we didnt have the Emery master class versus Manure in the league, we would be properly in the relegation zone right now.... (we would be 18th, 2 points from safety.....yikes).

    after Brentford's win looks like the first upper/lower table points split is happening. ie: 10th/11th - Brentford & Palace on 19 points, 12th/13th - Leeds & Villa on 15 points. lets hope we dont get left behind in the lower half.

    in relation to our loan players, will they come back to us for the WC break so Emery can take a look at them, or do they stay with their clubs?

    not sure i see the point in sending our clearly second choice loanee left back to his club in Jan. He's backup, he might even be backup to the backup (Digne > Young > Augustinsson - unless Cash is rested/injured and young plays RB, then Ludwig is clear LB backup). tbh in Jan i would rather spend every penny we have on a central defender, Winger/inside forward and striker, if at all possible (at least 1-2 of those positions). We really need to not be spunking our January budget on more backup squad players, we need to be spending every penny we have improving the first 11.

    thats kind of Villarreal, they can literally leave one or two players with us for when we sign them on Jan 1st

    he does need to go out on loan, we have quite literally wasted 6 months of his development. disgusting tbh, i thought we were past wasting our young players development opportunities. not sure if Gerrards fault?, probably.......
