The Kosovan journalist said he was likely to leave Bremen next week so I don't think it's ever been that close. Apparently he's training with Werder still but they have no intention of playing him in friendlies.

If there was any doubt, he definitely flew with the squad to the training camp last night.

I think people only mentioned Bergkamp etc in the sense that this would have a similar effect on us as it would be a statement of intent and a sign we want quality players rather than actually saying he's as good as Bergkamp.

Yeah, you're right. How silly of us to dream about finishing above the mighty Brighton etc. Everything we've heard and read about our owners suggest that they have no interest in making up the numbers. They want to compete at the top. 16th is not an over achievement to them.

But it wouldn't be an overachievement to finish above any of them by any stretch of the imagination. Overachieving would be qualifying for Europe.

It would be an overachievement if we finish above Brighton next season? Are you saying that? Or a Crystal Palace team who were absolutely woeful the last few games of the season? Newcastle who will most likely be in disarray? Sheffield United who will most likely suffer second season syndrome? You say some of those teams are more settled and experienced than us. Then how come Sheffield United did so well last season then? They had virtually no players who'd played at that level before.

So are you saying it's beyond the realms of possibility that we could finish above Brighton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Sheffield United, Burnley, West Ham, Everton? There's absolutely no way we could finish above any of them and we should stop dreaming?

Apparently the fitness coach has unfollowed him on Instagram now. The plot thickens. Either way I hope this gets resolved soon.

Agreed, that would be one step too far and unnecessary as I really don't think Leipzig care about Nakamba's Instagram account.

Wouldn't he probably use Liverpool instead of us if that's what he was doing? Seeing as they were linked with him a few weeks ago. It would have more impact on Leipzig, I'd imagine.

It's well known that the Werder Bremen squad are flying to their training camp today. I don't think he'd post that picture if he was flying off somewhere else. He's almost certainly with them.

Ah okay, I know a little bit about him but never seen him play. He's meant to be good. I think you need a new centre back and defensive midfielder too.
