  1. Add Edouard or Weghorst to that and get a goalkeeper on loan. Then any sales can add to us trying to get a young full back.
  2. Good player. Would be first choice RB for us.
  3. They really are. I've quoted a really useful post below from @MJ_1874 Look where Buendia is. Those are phenomenal stats for a wide player in comfortably the worst side in the league. You only have to watch Benrahma play to see he oozes class and ability. His ball control is superb. Wilson offers nothing like either of them. He's a dreadful player.
  4. Buendia and Benrahma are both far, far better than Wilson in pretty much every way.
  5. This exactly sums him up then. He's a highlights player. He scores the odd good free kick and that's it. Tell me how a good winger gets 0 assists in a season?
  6. Wow, really? I think that is very, very wrong. He's really not a good player at all and we'd easily attract better than him.
  7. Do you seriously think he's worth 20 million? There are so many players out there we could get for the money who are much superior to Wilson. Just have a look what the Bournemouth fans think of him.
  8. Sums him up. What was obvious to me when I watched him last season was how much he cares and the amount of effort he puts in. Also, he's not scared at all to put himself about.
  9. How many times has he played for Liverpool? Liverpool also had Jay Spearing on their books for a long time too. He had one freak season with Derby (which most of his goals were from set pieces) and so Liverpool understandably are using that to their advantage to get a higher fee for him. Ask the Bournemouth fans what they think of him. He's slow, lazy, can't take players on, can't cross but has a good free kick on him. Without his set pieces he'd be in League One.
  10. But it's important that they have footballing ability. Wilson is league one standard and I mean that seriously. If we spend £20m on him I'll be concerned.
  11. McKennie Rashica Benrahma Edouard Job done.
  12. Average is being kind. He's appalling.
  13. Yeah he did play in the CL the season before last. He's definitely more like McGinn than Luiz but to be honest, all 3 of them could play in midfield together with 3 attackers in front. We'd have so much energy in the middle of the park then. Schalke were horrendous since January. Really, really poor but he was the only one who never gave in.
  14. He is. A box to box/holding midfielder. Loads of energy. Gets stuck in and has great work rate. Looked like the only Schalke player who cared during the second half of last season. Would be an absolutely amazing signing.
  15. Kind of and kind of not They're just awful.
  16. Only thing I can think of holding up the deal other than the terms of the contract would be work permit or waiting for Werder to get a replacement.
  17. Don't want him. Has the most ridiculous tattoos!
  18. Please for the love of McGrath be true. Cillessen and especially McKennie would be sensational signings. Villa, DO IT NOW! Please.
  19. It takes time to discuss targets. Football is a different game now. Every single aspect of a player is analysed. That's why clubs have dedicated data analysts now. Then once the targets have been agreed and prioritised, the negotiations start. This takes time. You're negotiating with clubs who likely don't want to sell so they can play hard ball or need to find replacements for the player being sold. Then there's the fact that everyone has been only holiday for the last 3 weeks or so. Just like every June (the first 3 weeks of the transfet window) is usually quiet. This is when players are on holiday so deals always get held up. Then of course, COVID. This is a complete one off transfer windows. Precedent is out of the window. Teams are being ultra critical in the signings they make and rightly so. Surely every business worldwide is being extra careful. All in all, there was no way in a million years we'd have signed our top targets by now and expecting us to is quite frankly ridiculous and impatient.
  20. Not even slightly. Very confident in who we have running the club. The two new men have only been here a couple of weeks. Do you really expect them to have compiled a list of targets, discussed them, negotiated with selling clubs and made a breakthrough, agreed a contract with the player and agreed agent fees in that time? All whilst most teams and players have been on holiday. That would be next to impossible. The longer it takes us, the more confident I am. It means targets are being discussed and well thought out and there's less chance of panic buys. I really think the people we have running the club mean business.
