Yes, often the actual transfer fee paid to a club is the easiest and cheapest bit of a signing, especially when most fees are paid in instalments and/or add ons.

I think this summer we can afford to spend that much on one player. Last year we needed 15 players so we couldn't but this year is a different story now. He'd be a superb signing, whatever the price really.

Joe Hart was outstanding in his prime. But sadly something seems to have gone wrong for him now and he is pretty much finished as a footballer. He hasn't been PL standard for at least 3 years, and that's being generous. Reina is the better option. If Hart wants to try and resurrect his career he should go back to his boyhood club Shrewsbury. But sadly money will dictate so I either see him going to America or China or just disappearing completely.

By that logic we should go for David Seaman too. He was England number 1 for 14 years and also has 75 caps.

Werner had a clause in his contract. Chelsea got a £100million player for £50million. And English clubs don't sell young English players to other English clubs cheaply. Over-inflated prices. Trust me, Werner is FAR superior to Abraham. Although, I have my doubts whether Fat Frank will get the best out of him.

I don't think he has natural footballing ability. He looks like Bambi on ice when he runs. He misses A LOT of chances. You generally need to create about 5 chances for him to score 1. Take him out of that Chelsea side and put him in a struggling side and you'll soon see that 15 goals he got this season turn probably into about 5. Timo Werner is an example of a world class young talent. Can you honestly imagine Abraham doing the things he can do? Can you imaging Abraham collecting the ball out wide, dribbling past 3 defenders and curling it into the top corner from the edge of the area? Not a chance. In fact I'm pretty sure Abraham has never scored from outside the area. He lacks the technical ability. To me, he just doesn't look a natural footballer. He would cost us at least £40m and I can promise you we would be able to find much, much better value out there. I'm not totally against signing him as I think it would convince Grealish to stay as they seem very close. And Abraham would fit in well. But a world class young striker he is absolutely not. I think long term his level will be mid table Premier League at best. What have you seen that makes you think he's one of the best young strikers in the world?

Yeah I've checked too and he's following all 3. He's also following Mason Greenwood, Gareth Bale and Bologna so not sure what to read into it.

He's really not anywhere near that level. He'd be decent for us in our current position but he's never going to be a top level striker.

I reckon we don't have a budget. It will essentially be NSWE allowing us to spend what we need again. I think the recruitment team will look to spend about £100-120m on 4/5 first team players and then there will be extra for any backup/young prospect players.
