I think before the end of the week you will see we will achieve 15 mill of that for Mepham who has agreed to join Bournmouth.The rest of the players we don’t need or have to sell as we have already sold 19 million pounds worth of players this season not including Mepham.Based on what you paid for Hogan don’t think Maupay would be unreasonable at 20 mill.Woods went to Stoke for 7 mill and sawyers is better imho.Hope none of them go

My take Maupay 20 mill + Mepham 15 mill Sawyers 7 mill Rico Henry 12 mill + imho our best player by far and haven’t seen a better LB in this league. Dean Smith doesn’t have restrictions on coming back for former players I do know that. We don’t let players go for less than our valuations that must be realistic other wise they would still be with us.You might disagree because of Hogans period with you but I’m sure smith will get him back scoring goals again.

For clubs like us the championship is a fantastic league and the shame is it’s full of so called massive clubs fans who think they are above it rather than enjoy it.You have a superb stadium and an impressive history and I’m sure in the near future you will be back in the PL hopefully with Dean Smith in charge who if given time will show what an excellent manager he is.You should take leaf out of our book and buy some potential rather than the so called finished article it’s cheaper and you’ll find they show far more effort than the high price big time Charlie’s.Being a small club we have to sell these players who meet their potential but you being the size of club you are can avoid this.I watched us beat Stoke Saturday rather easily and looking at their line up and the fact they spent near 50 mill on players pre season we shouldn’t be able to live with them but the attitude and desire from their players was clear to see players who have all earned fortunes and are just going through the motions.I note some of the flack DS is getting on here and the fact he never got us to the playoffs or Walsall promoted but you can’t compare these clubs to yours had he been able to keep hold of our better players I’m sure we would at least had made the playoffs over his time with us.He needs time to get some new players in and get them playing the way he wants which is entertaining and will be successful as 3 seasons finishing in the top ten is that for us..But keep away from our players

Thought it was well known Dean only brought Sawyers and Henry,both great players to the club.We are an attractive stepping stone for young talent with potential as we can’t afford the finished article and we have a recent good track record of players moving for life changing salaries to bigger clubs.Mepham was a product from our defunct youth academy and was put into the first team early due to injuries but after playing alongside an established danish international centre back and Dean’s coaching is now a regular and an international.We are happy with the predictable Frank appointment who we are taking on board that our win rate improved on his employment which may or may not be entirely down to him.He has an impressive track record in senior and youth level so I don’t get the negative comments from some of your fans.OKelly has only coached and managed at lower league with not much success but obviously works well with Dean with more than acceptable results for us but will have to improve if he wants to keep his job with you.Hope Dean is successful as he’s a great bloke and don’t want you coming back for Thomas Frank next year.?

I know you will not be in a position regarding FFP in January to purchase Mepham 25 million already turned down bids by Palace and Bournmouth 14 mill Oli Watkins 25 million but we won’t sell if we are still in a promotion position Maupay top goal scorer in championship on long contract as the are the others Bently possibly as he’s now sub keeper Henry hasn’t played for 12 months

When Hogan was with us after his injury when he scored 21 in 33 games we were more predictable and basically balls were played through to him rather than to feet the same as his predecessor Andrei Gray.He was by far the best finisher I’ve ever seen play for us.It was after he left and Thomas Frank joined that we played a lot more one touch football and the goals were shared around a bit more.Smith I’m sure will get more out of Hogan if he can keep him fit.Like most Bees fans wish Dean Smith all the best he’s a smashing bloke and very well liked and I expect it will be a seemless move on to Thomas Frank as head coach for us.Hope Villa give him time as you will see he has a history of going on winless runs where clubs like us and Walsall gave him time.I think his biggest threat is from John Terry as most neutral fans have said who would want him covering your back.Look forward to Villa coming to Griffin Park for maybe the last time in February when it will be very interesting to see where both clubs are and I’m sure Dean will get a good reception.

Smith hasn’t ruled himself out,He said he is happy at Brentford and hasn’t had any contact with Villa.I think if Villa offer him he will take the job which In my opinion will be a bad move for him and Villa,of course I would say that but as some on here have acknowledged he is part of a big structure that would be impossible to transfer and replicate.Smith is a great fit for us and has now had 3 seasons that has produced top ten finishes which is more than acceptable for the majority of our fans but wouldn’t be for your club.The only way it might work is it sounds like you have cleared the decks for the new manager to bring in a big support team which could mean your DOF has people lined up and build a team around Smith.

Sorry none of my business but that’s a desperate idea,he’s all that’s wrong in football along with Redknapp and to a slightly lesser degree Bruce.Need to be a bit more imaginative and get a young successful hungry manager who’s managed for a few years along with an older DOF and stick with him.

Think you should do a bit more research about how Brentford work.You honestly think Matthew Benham stops Smith implementing things?Wilder at Sheffield United hit the nail on the head when asked about being like Brentford he replied “we will need to employ 180 people”He won’t join you as he is part of a big structure that involves many people and you could never replicate this or should need to with the resources you have as a massive club.Wonder how your fans would have responded to our start last season when we had no wins in first 9 games and were in the bottom 3 you are now 2 points away from us and it’s a doomsday at Villa Park ....incredible
