I would respect Gerrard more if he went out playing his way actually going for it being brave. But he is playing this cowardly defensive style trying to save his skin. Just overall a very unlikable man.

What to you indicates that Gerrard is gonna turn it around? He has already openly admitted he doesn't coach players he is more of a man manager. So how is he gonna turn the crap football around? Potter as a contrast is an excellent coach who knows how to play attacking football and knows exactly how to implement it. Brighton were always gonna eventually turn it around based on their xG. Numbers don't lie.

Forest got spanked by Leicester which tells you everything you need to know. They're beyond awful.

Eddie Howe needed a few weeks to build an identity. Let's not overcomplicate this. Gerrard is just a bad manager, that is all.

Been so reminiscent of Villa under Bruce in the last month. Only thing that is missing is him saying "Hopefully that will shut a few people up" after an unconvincing and boring win.

It's a sad state of affairs that it has come to this but this is where we're at. Gerrard is possibly the worst manager in the top 2 divisions in England. Short term pain for long term gain.

Difference is Brighton were always topping xG stats. It was always likely they would eventually click. You could see what was brewing. Whereas umder Gerrard you can't see anything other than him taking us backwards.

I think Gerrard has set us back for years. Signed a bunch of older players with very little resell value and on high wages. Will take years for us to recover from this and at that point clubs like Newcastle will be light-years ahead of us. This appointment has been absolutely disastrous by every metric.

For instance, Brighton will tell their new manager how they operate as a club and that he needs to work within those set conditions. Same at Brentford. They won't allow a manager to completely change their strategy. That's how modern clubs are run. No longer is the manager the most important cog in the machinery. -

Completely flip flopping the transfer strategy was a major f*** up. You don't just throw away your plan after a little set back. Pains me to say it but we are a terribly run football club. I'd say Man Utd light.
