  1. 3 points from Sheffield U, Watford, Norwich and Southampton. The worst team in the league. Big financial trouble coming.
  2. Absolutely bloody terrible going forward, just aimless hoofs. Woeful at the back. This is a top half Championship squad, at best.
  3. Honestly the lads rubbish, all he does us score goals, assist goals, pass the ball neatly and a world class free kick. Sigh.
  4. He's unfortunately a terrible player. Coming from the Turkish league into the PL is tough as the standard is lower than the Championship. He wasnt good enough for the Belgian league. The bottom line is we took a punt, based off an Elmo recommendation IIRC, and it's not paid off. He does work hard and is a likeable character, but he must be dropped and sold in Jan. Jota, El G, Grealish and even Kodjia would be better choices in his position. We must buy at least one winger in January.
  5. It looks like we'll spend a bit in January. At least 30m likely on Benhrama, a striker and maybe a couple of loans. Is anybody else worried about the impact this will have on the club's financial future should we drop back into the Championship? Clearly we desperately need a winger and a striker to have a chance of survival, but I'd really only be looking at loan moves right now.
  6. He'd be a better wide option than Trezeguet. Play him on the other wing to AEG and bring Grealish central.
  7. Really poor player. Which is a shame as he works hard and is likeable. But should be nowhere near a Premier League squad. Did we sign him purely cos he's Elmo's mate?
  8. What would you say is a fair/balanced reaction to getting hammered at home and played off the park by a team that are almost certain to go down with us, and recently lost 9-1?
  9. A truly terrible performance from start to finish. Heaton and Grealish look like the only two players who are good enough at this level which is a travesty. Major changes needed. The problem is that even after spending all that money, there really aren't any appealing options amongst the squad - Jota, Trez, Kodjia, Lansbury, all very much Championship level.
  10. Are any of the Villa players on the pitch good enough at this level apart from Heaton and Jack? I seriously doubt it. I'd say our defence is the worst in the league.
  11. I'm already feeling annoyed about what the stupid social media writers will post after this.
  12. We can't be expected to hold a lead in the 87th minute vs Liverpool. Or beat ten men arsenal. Or get anything against Sheffield United, they're unplayable. No weaker teams get anything v Chelsea. I'm sure there'll be some excuse about how the recent 9-1 losers are invincible and it was inevitable we'd get pasted at home .
  13. I seriously hope we have a plan for the Championship and won't be financially ruined.
  14. We will lose this by 3+ goals. Woefully bad against the worst team in the league at home. We are going down and there is nothing we can do about it - we are a poor, poor team.
  15. Dear God, we are absolutely terrible. Week after week, just getting worse.
  16. On a serious note, I'd be delighted with a point away at Sheff U - with the caveat it isn't a point that comes after throwing away a 2+ goal lead. I think a lot of our defensive problems are stemming from a lack of coverage - whether that is from El Ghazi/Trez/Grealish out wide, or Nakamba in the middle. I'm not convinced that we have enough strength in the DM position.
  17. We haven't been screwed over by terrible refereeing or VAR for a few weeks. I imagine therefore we are overdue.
  18. Leicester a top 4 side, maybe better. Villa looking a Championship side. McGinn needs a rest, and Wesley, Trez, Nakamba, Elmo not good enough. Really disappinting but next five fixtures will define our season. 10 points needed.
  19. Quite simply a Champions League level team destroying a Championship level team.
  20. We have a serious mental block against the bigger six. We can't keep throwing points away like this, regardless of opposition. Also United are terrible.
  21. Utterly appalling in every department. Like a league 2 side. Plus a dollop of bad luck. Happy Sunday...
  22. Goes without saying but we missed Grealish. It didn't feel like we had anybody who could hold the ball and run with it, without losing it immediately. Should've thrown Konsa on rather than Kodjia. But yes, another big 3 points dropped and another defeat.
  23. I can't believe exactly the same thing that happened against Arsenal and Spurs has just happened again. It doesn't matter who you're playing, no excuse conceding two goals at home after 85 minutes.
  24. McGinn had a poor game by his standards, but produced a sensational cross field ping to Grealish's feet, who then set up Targett. Targett also not great until the end. When you have quality players, even when they have a bad game, they are capable of producing match-winning moments of magic. We've got a tough run of fixtures coming up, but we're scoring goals. This is almost without exception the biggest stumbling block for newly promoted clubs. UTV!
