  1. Looking at the amount of goals we concede away from home I can't feel us confident about this one. I'm expecting a 3-2 win for Blackpool with DJ Campbell and Adams scoring! More dodgy tactics and lame excuses from Houllier to follow...
  2. A number of clubs in the premier league offer the first two cup games as part of the season ticket in order to improve attendances for what can be quite frankly games of low interest. Have we considered such a thing? Seems to link in to the rewarding season ticket holders too perhaps.
  3. I would like to see: Friedel GK Waker RB Dunne CB Cuellar CB Clark LB Albrighton/Downing RM NRC CM Makoun CM Young LM Gabby CF Bent CF
  4. You clearly haven't seen Salifou playing then!
  5. 2 up front - don't be silly. We might actually look decent playing that. It makes far more sense to play people out of position.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised to see Houllier pick Gabby on the left again and Young, ineffectual as ever, in the hole. I think Blackpool will win 3-2.
  7. General Why, when we have a superior squad and resources to Bolton, Stoke, Newcastle, Blackburn and Fulham do we find ourselves in a worse position to all of them? Some might say we made a very poor managerial appointment.
  8. Why does our football manager not see when something just isn't working? So frustrating to see us make the same mistakes again, again and again!
  9. Houllier has to take the blame again. Teams like Bolton, Stoke, Newcastle, Blackburn and Fulham are above us in the league - you can't convince me they have better squads/resources to work with. Clark isn't a left back. The Collins/Dunne partnership overall just does not work. Petrov is slow and how he gets in the team in front of NRC is a mystery to me. Gabby should be playing up front. Young is woeful playing in the hole. Sadly our poor manager hasn't worked this out despite is being blindly obvious. Houllier out
  10. We have a strong bench which is a positive. As long as Young is on the wing and not up front then we might have a chance.
  11. Fulham have conceded just THREE goals in 7 league matches therefore this looks like a really tight game with possibly the odd goal deciding it. They've also scored a higher % of headed goals than any other team in the premier league so possibly Cuellar coming in for Walker might be a good idea. Either way, you just know Sidwell is going to score a 30 yard screamer!!!
  12. I really hope we go 4-4-2 for this one. We're at home so should be going for it from the start!
  13. I can see this being a low scoring game - Fulham don't tend to give much away. Wouldn't be surprised if it finished 1-1 but we need a win here.
  14. If we were 10 years younger Brad Friedel wouldn't be playing for us Wakey wakey
  15. Didn't expect anything from the game so not too disappointed. By the sound of things Makoun played well. Sounds like Petrov's days might be numbered.
  16. Your laughing at them not breaking the 1000 point barrier when they are 7 points off it Therefore as we stand today haven't broken the 1000 point barrier
  17. I hope he goes to Newcastle and does OK and then we get rid of him. Seen enough of him to think he's got a bad attitude.
