Initial reaction is that it looks good. Haven't checked it on my phone but assume the layout will be better than the old one. Does the new one support tapatalk?
Is there new hosting too? Will this speed things up? The old forum used to get horribly slow on matchday / where there was big news
No, neither signed in time
I'd go something like
-------------Given
Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Bennett
------KEA --- Herd
--Ireland -------- Bannan / Holman
------Bent -- Wiemann
It tool 2 - 3 years for Walcott and Bale to be considered starters.
We should be looking to bring in good young players from the lower league but we can't expect them to come straight into the team and be ready to be a first team starter in the PL.
I'd give him a fresh start. A midfield and forward line like
--------------Bent
N'Zogbia - Ireland - Holman - (Throw in Gabby, Albrighton and possibly someone new as options)
----- Makoun - Herd - (With Gardner, Bannan and A new (possibly first choice) DM as options)
You don't have a bad looking line up. Herd (or new DM) to break up play and Makoun to link play with the forward line.
It's funny, on another site a lot of people were praising OGS for his good work in with the United reserves and almost using that as a reason he's good enough. If we wanted someone who did well at reserve level we have MacDonald.
I hope he stays on a reserve level as he's done fantastically well there for us. But I wouldn't be surprised if he looked to move on. He seems to want to manage and he's not going to get the chance at Villa so he might have to go to the championship or league 1 to get that chance.
Provided N'Zogbia and Albrighton are given a license to get forward and provide the creativity it's not the worst choice in CM. He has played there for Blackburn in the past.
Our other options are Gardner who hasn't really imposed himself on games yet, Bannan who's been woeful recently and Clark who probably isn't fully fit. Given that this is a 6 pointer game experience might be worth it
And I have to say in the last 2 games when Heskey has come on he has done ok and was winning knock ons.
But it would have been nice and exciting to see someone like Carruthers given a chance instead of Albrighton.
The last time I remember us being dangerous from corners was MONs last season. We would swing in the corner for Culleur to flick on then have Dunne and Collins running in to get on the ball.
Now we just seem to float them to the back post (or beyond) and hope someone does something.
