  1. Don't you have a Twitter account mate? Swear I have you on Twitter and seen you tweet a similar rhetoric.
  2. That's a good point to be fair, but Sherwoods sly hypocrisy HAS been quoted after the Stoke match. "It's my fault I take responsibility" "Players aren't fit enough to play to my style" "They aren't creative enough, it was boring to be honest" etc etc Then suddenly these stories happen to crop up in the media, who Sherwood happens to get along well with generally. Bit too convienement for my likening. But I'm cynical. You made a valid point though.
  3. No kidding. I've taken slight liberties with the paraphrasing, but... "We don't have any creative players unfortunately, just this worthless shower of cloggers that poor old me has to try and manage". "These aren't actually the players I was really wanting to sign three months ago, but I guess I'm stuck with it and will take full responsibility 'cause that's the kind of guy I am". "Club is lucky to have a top geeza like me" effectively. His ego is borderline cringeworthy at times.
  4. Anti Sherwood sentiment is certainly stronger on here than I thought. Most of my mates still have faith in him. But Im worried after his recent comments.
  5. Anyway.... Do you guys think the club will react to Sherwoods transfer tales in the press?
  6. I sense unrest behind the scenes. The fact that the media have published the transfer tripe suggests Sherwood is being his sly self. like several have already said his in self preservation mode. First it's the players fault for being unfit and not good enough for his style of play. Now it's the boards fault for not letting him get the targets he wanted. The tea ladies fault next for forgetting to put 2 sugers in his tea instead of 1.
  7. I reckon it's a dire situation if we gain no points by the City/Everton Game. Either we need some points and marked improvement to avoid being rooted to 20th or we get rid fast.
  8. That was four days ago, actually. Which media are you referring to? Link? What was Four days ago? The BBC article? Bham mail did an article I believe ,as did TeamTalk and The Mirror.
  9. Seems like the media is finally mentioning him in a sack race.
  10. I think there's another break after the Spurs game? I'm fairly confident that he's got three games to save himself. I didnt realise. I agree with you, although I think that will hinder us greatly.
  11. I didn't realise. In which case I agree.
  12. When we would struggle to find a good manager. In true Villa Fashion.
  13. Hopefully a good manager will be up there. Really hope enquires are being made with other managers like fox did with Lambert.
  14. He won't sack him before the Chelsea game I don't think. But these two weeks could be the last chance for Sherwood to try and save his job ,and us from another relegation battle.
  15. Would take Pulis for the season to be honest. Although West Brom aren't doing great with him. Could help keep us up until we get an owner who knows how to run a club.
  16. Honestly think someone like Big sam would be our best chance, it wouldn't be pretty but it could help bring stability to the club. Sherwood is proving to lack any tactical nous or any knowledge of his players preferences and abilities. Even Lambert knew his Best XL and formations. Although I rate Moyes, I reckon he lacks a strong enough authority to get the best out of his players, as seen at UTD. Rodgers would simply be a slightly improved version of Sherwood and he would struggle too IMO. We lack the solid foundations and leadership of Swansea or financial clout of Liverpool. Would've loved someone like Klopp. Someone quoted a BBC extract earlier in the thread about how Kloop prefers to build big clubs back up and enjoys the challenge, I thought it screamed of Aston Villa. The more I rant on the more I find it irritating that Sherwood seems to be under hardly any pressure....
  17. If he had done, I'd have expected a takeover to be very close. I hope he stays, more switched on than Faulkner ever was.
  18. Bitter disappointment or jubilant celebration? Pretty much hit the nail on the head, will be make or break in terms of takeover I've heard. Although another party could submit a bid if this current one fails. Should hear something early July. Should.
  19. His been offered a new contract and is set to sign soon from what I've heard. Good move by Sherwood, keeps at it I hope
  20. Really hope he stays, part of me will lose Faith in Sherwood if he doesn't give him a chance, but does for Bennett and N'Zogbia. *Shudder*
  21. We don't want him apparently. His due for surgery soon too I believe?
