He could come on if Kamara was playing next to him but we don't have a true DM on the pitch we have two hybrid 6/8's whereas Sanson is an 8 who can play as a 10 or 6 if needed. IMO Sanson isn't strong enough to play a 6 role without a true 6 next to him in the pivot.

McGinn or Ramsey could play at the '10' in this system but they would be a downgrade. I wouldn't write off Ramsey at all, McGinn I would have sold in both of the last two summer windows.

The double pivot allows our 4 forward players to play with freedom too and gives protection for the full backs to push forward providing more width, you also get more with in a 4231 anyway. This is literally what I have been saying the whole time Gerrard was here.

Thank **** for that! They have finally sacked him. No idea if they are going to make a proper appointment or appoint another muppet now though. It is a shame really as we have a bunch of good players and money to spend so you would have thought that we are a very attractive proposition to the best available managers out there.
